Any good YT channels for mountain biking technique?

TL;DR: Looking for YouTube channels focused on mountain biking technique.

i've been getting into mountain biking lately and honestly, my technique is a bit all over the place. I keep watching random videos but nothing really clicks. I'd love to hear if anyone has specific YouTube channels they swear by for improving skills. Like, I just want to stop eating dirt every time I hit a corner! Any recs?

I feel you! My first mountain biking trip, I went flying over the handlebars on a corner. 🤦‍♂️ 'Ryan Leech' has some great videos on basic skills that really helped me improve my control. Definitely check him out!

As a busy mom, I get that time is precious! But if you can squeeze in short practice sessions, it'll help a lot. Even 15 minutes on the bike focusing on technique can work wonders.

I mean, I get that mountain biking can feel like eating a pizza face-first sometimes! 😂 But 'The Bike School' has some solid stuff for cornering techniques and balance. Definitely worth a look!

Honestly, it's all about balance and body weight distribution. If you're constantly eating dirt, it could be a technique flaw. 'Trailside MTB' has really solid instructional content on that, no fluff. Check it out.

Big facts! And it's all about finding the right line, just like picking the right toppings for a pizza. If you're not sure where to go, just look for that sweet spot on the trail.

Omg, mountain biking is such a blast! i've seen some good channels like 'GMBN' that break down technique really well. They have fun tips that could help you ride smoother, so you won't eat dirt anymore!

Ngl, this is a skill issue. 😂 But for real, 'GMBN' has a playlist specifically for cornering techniques that could really help. You gotta work on your body positioning!

Dude, I have my own struggles too, but at least you're trying something new! I found some success with 'Skills with Phil'. His videos are easy to follow, even when you're having a bad day on the trails.

Cope! If you're crashing, just embrace it as part of the learning process! You'll get better over time. Plus, a few bruises are just battle scars, right? 😂

Totally agree! Consistency is key. Plus, nothing beats hitting those trails regularly and just getting the feel for your bike. It's so rewarding when u start to see progress.

If you hit corners and feel scared, practice gradual turns first. Getting used to leaning into them makes a huge difference. Don't rush it! Trust me, I learned the hard way.

Facts! Cornering can be a real pain. I almost faceplanted on a trail once because I wasn't leaning into the turn right. I think "BikeRadar" has some solid tutorials on technique. They break down the fundamentals really well. But honestly, it all comes down to practice. You'll get there, just keep it fun. And remember, everyone eats dirt sometimes!

So I was in the same boat last summer. I kept crashing every time I hit a turn! I found 'MTB Skills' on YouTube, and they helped me with my cornering. You can see the difference when you commit to leaning into the turn instead of panicking

Learning from falls is part of the process! Remember, it's not just about the crashes but how you bounce back! Keep riding, and you'll improve in no time.

It's cool to hear everyone's experiences! Keep an open mind while watching tutorials. Each rider has their own style, and you'll find what works for you. Just have fun with it!

Honestly, some people say 'leave it to the pros,' but I think it's about practice. I used to eat dirt too! I focused on riding more and watching technique videos during my downtime. After a few sessions, I was hitting corners like a pro!

Exactly! And don't forget to fuel yourself right. I usually bring snacks on my rides, so I have the energy to focus on technique without feeling drained. Chocolate chip energy balls are my go-to!

I hear you on the cornering! I used to eat dirt like it was my diet plan. I started watching the "GMBN Tech" channel, and their tips on body positioning and cornering made a huge difference for me. One time, I tried their technique on a downhill turn and managed to keep it upright. Felt like a pro! Also, don't be afraid to practice in an empty parking lot or something. Just you and your bike, no dirt to eat.

Check out 'Singletracks' on YouTube. They have great videos on cornering technique and body positioning. If you want to see improvements, watching them could really help refine your skills.

Yeah, technique is everything. If you're not set on your body position, you're just asking for trouble! Always keep your weight low and shift it correctly when cornering.

You're probably overthinking it! Just send it! Or, you know, just don't. 😅 For real, I'd recommend 'MTB Basics' for foundational skills. Get comfortable with your bike before pushing it too hard

Not trying to be harsh, but if you're not practicing, you won't get better. Hitting the same trails and really focusing on technique will make all the difference. You got this!
