Is anyone else feeling like their body is just done with running after years of it?

TL;DR: Feeling burnt out after 12 years of running, looking for advice.

I've been running for over 12 years, and honestly, my body is sending me signals that it wants out. Like, every time I lace up, I can hear my knees whispering 'please, no more'. I've tried changing my training, adding in some cross-training, but it still feels like a battle. Anyone else ever hit that wall? What do u do to keep it fresh and fun?

Honestly, I think running is just a punishment in disguise. I'd rather lift heavy than listen to my knees complain. Just sayin'

Ugh, I hear you! I started lifting to give my legs a break, but now I miss running! If you find something fun, please share! I need ideas!

Bro, just switch it up! Who needs running anyway? Hit the weights or do some yoga. Flexibility is where it's at, man.

No cap, running is just a meme for me now. Who wants to suffer when you can chill with weights? Let's all lift instead!

I get that, running can be rough on the joints, especially if you've been doing it for years. Have you considered strength training? It can improve your running efficiency and help with injury prevention

As someone who transitioned from powerlifting to CrossFit, I feel you on the body signals. Mixing up my routine with different movements has kept things fresh. I've been loving the variety!

Honestly, running is overrated anyway. You could just do short sprints and call it a day. All the cardio without all the joint pain, lol.

You know what's funny? My buddy always said running is just a fast walk, and I kinda believe him now. Just lift, bro.

My knees are a total mess from running. I've moved to weightlifting and cardio machines to save my joints. Just keep it real and listen to your body!

I always meal prep for my recovery. Eating right can also help you feel better when you're training hard. Fuel your body well!

I used to push through the pain, but it wasn't worth it. Now, I mix CrossFit and weights. It keeps things interesting and fun.

You should try some active recovery days. Walking or swimming can be really beneficial for recovery without all the impact running brings.

When i hit a wall with my training, I switch up my routine. Maybe try some trail running? The change in scenery can help!

Running is tough on the body, especially for years. Why not try incorporating yoga or pilates? It could improve flexibility and strength.

I used to feel that way after years of lifting. My back was like 'please, stop' after squats. Switching to lighter weights with higher reps helped me feel way better.

I get it, sometimes life gets hectic. I barely have time to lift, let alone run. Maybe focus on quick HIIT workouts? They're efficient.

Facts. Lifting has saved my joints, and I don't even miss running that much. Just do what you enjoy, man!

As a marathoner, I get the aches too. If your knees are really giving you trouble, it might be time to switch to lower-impact cardio, like cycling. Your joints will thank you!

You might want to track your mileage and see if you're overtraining. Running too much can lead to injuries. Balance is key, my friend.
