Why does Cronometer keep saying my foods aren't in the database? Like, what gives?

Ngl, I'm getting tired of trying to log my meals in Cronometer only to be greeted by that dreaded 'food not found' message. I mean, how am I supposed to track my gains if I can't even find my pre-workout pizza in the database? Tried looking for some random protein bar and it's like playing a game of 'guess that food'. I tried MyFitnessPal for a hot minute but had to bail because of the ads creeping up like my guilt over avoiding cardio. Anyone else feel me on this? How do you deal with missing foods in these apps? This is getting ridiculous.

As a registered dietitian, I can say Cronometer is the better choice for those who care about micronutrients. It's super data-driven with over 1.8 million RD-verified entries. MFP is littered with user errors and typos. Just make sure to double-check your entries, you don't want to underestimate your iron intake thinking you logged kale when it was actually potato chips

This shit is so annoying! I feel you on the 'food not found' struggle. Like, what even is a pre-workout pizza? Just put the damn thing in the database already. I'm seriously thinking about just using the app like a diary and skipping the tracking part altogether. 😅

Bro, I switched back to MyFitnessPal because I just know how to navigate that food list, you feel? It might be full of ads now but muscle memory got me covered. Just find a good routine and you'll be set.

I get the frustration! As a busy mom, I just don't have time to manually search for everything. I switched to Nutrola because the voice logging saves me so much time. I can log meals in seconds while dealing with the kids. Seriously, it's been a lifesaver.

I used Cronometer for a bit but switched to MacroFactor because the algorithm just works better for me. The food database feels more accurate and keeps my goals in check. I can't be wasting time logging food that isn't even in the app, you know?
