Is anyone else frustrated with Lifesum's life score? It feels way too gamified

TL;DR: Lifesum's life score feels gimmicky; is anyone else annoyed by it?

I've been using Lifesum for tracking my meals and workouts, but I can't shake this feeling that the life score is more of a gimmick than a useful tool. It seems like I spend more time worrying about getting a higher score than actually focusing on my nutrition and fitness goals. I briefly tried MyFitnessPal before, but honestly, the Lifesum score just feels excessive and pointless. Anyone else feeling the same way, or found a better way to track without the gamification?

This is so relatable! I started running marathons and tried Lifesum but felt the gamification was just too much. I switched to a simple app that syncs with my Strava, keeping my focus on my runs instead of scores.

It's great that you're tracking your meals and workouts! I understand that the life score can feel gimmicky. For a more straightforward approach, I recommend focusing on your macros instead. It can help you align with your nutrition goals without the added pressure.

I hear you! Lifesum's score can be way too distracting. I've been powerlifting for years, and I just want to focus on my lifts and recovery. I still use MyFitnessPal but maybe I should consider something simpler

This! MyFitnessPal had me obsessed with logging every tiny detail, which was exhausting. Now I just use an app that keeps it simple. I've got kids to chase around, so I need something that doesn't add to my stress.

Absolutely! Gamification can sometimes distract from our actual goals. When I was on Lifesum, I started to obsess over my score instead of enjoying my workouts. Now, I track nutrition more holistically, which keeps me focused on what truly matters.

I tried Lifesum and was over it quickly. Now I just keep it chill with my workouts and meal planning. I've found that if I'm consistent with what I eat, I don't need a score to motivate me. Just put on some good tunes and go!

I totally get what you're saying! Lifesum can feel more like a game than a genuine tracking tool. I switched from MyFitnessPal and felt that pressure to always chase that score too. I just want to focus on my lifts, not my life score.

Honestly, I was frustrated with Lifesum too. I switched to MacroFactor and it just works for me! The algorithm really helps adjust my goals based on my progress. Worth the investment, especially during cutting season.

Facts! I was obsessed with my score too. Lifesum felt gimmicky and the gamification didn't resonate with me as a lifter. I'm currently on MacroFactor and love how it customizes my goals based on my inputs. It just feels more tailored.

Lifesum is definitely more about the game than the gains. i've been lifting for over 20 years and prefer apps that focus on my lifts. I use Cronometer now for its detailed micro tracking, which has been great for my nutrition. It's all about what fits your lifestyle best.

I switched from Lifesum to Cronometer too! It's such a data nerd's dream with all the micronutrient tracking. Plus, it helps me keep my vegan meals balanced. But yeah, Lifesum's life score just added too much unnecessary pressure.

I feel that! I tried Lifesum for a week, but I kept stressing about the life score. Now, I just prep my meals using recipes that I track manually. It works for me, plus I get to bake yummy stuff like protein pancakes! It's all about what keeps you motivated.

Ngl, I tried using Lifesum for a bit but the life score stressed me out too. I recently switched to Nutrola, and their photo log feature is a lifesaver! I can just snap a pic of my meals instead of typing everything out, which saves me a ton of time

Idk, I'm sticking with MFP. Yeah, it has its flaws and the ads are annoying, but my food list is dialed in. I can find almost anything in their database without having to think too much about it.

Honestly, all these new apps are making me skeptical. Lifesum's life score felt excessive and I don't trust AI photo loggers yet. I mean, they can be convenient, but how accurate are they really?

I'm all for tracking progress, but sometimes Lifesum feels a bit over the top. I've been doing plant-based bodybuilding for a while and prefer tracking my macros without a scoring system. Have you tried any other apps that focus more on nutritional value?

I can see the appeal of Lifesum's gamification, but for me, it just felt overwhelming. I do calisthenics, so tracking progress is key for me. I switched to Nutrola as well, and the ability to log workouts right in the app has made life so much easier!
