Supplements for ADHD Lifters? Need Advice!

TL;DR: Looking for supplement recommendations for ADHD lifters to help with focus and energy in the gym

So, here I am, 30 years old and still battling the ADHD monster while trying to crush my lifts. I've been in the gym for a decade now, and I can confidently say that my attention span has the consistency of wet cardboard. I get it, lifting weights is supposed to be my therapy, but sometimes, I feel like I'm just going through the motions.

I've heard mixed reviews about supplements that might help with focus and energy, particularly for guys like me who lift. Creatine has been my go-to for ages, and I've been wondering if the HCL version is actually worth it or if I should stick with good ol' mono. I've also played around with caffeine and beta-alanine, but I'm curious if there's anything else out there, like ashwagandha or citrulline, that could help my wandering brain without turning me into a jittery mess.

Does anyone have experience with supplements specifically aimed at boosting focus or managing ADHD symptoms while lifting? I need something to keep me from zoning out during my sets and pondering the existential dread of existence. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Yo, have you tried L-theanine with caffeine? It smooths out the jitters and helps with focus. This combo is a solid way to stay alert without feeling like you're bouncing off the walls. Creatine HCL is cool too, but honestly, creatine mono is king for most lifters.

For real, if you haven't tried ashwagandha yet, you might be missing out. It can help reduce stress levels, which might make focusing easier during lifts. But don't skip the basics, good sleep, nutrition, and proper hydration matter more than any supplement.

Caffeine and beta-alanine combo? Big mood! But you gotta watch it, too much caffeine can turn you into a jittery mess, which is the opposite of what we want. Creatine mono is still the OG for a reason, just sayin'.

I get it, man. Lifting can feel like an uphill battle when ADHD is in play. I've had days where I'm zoning out during sets, just wondering about the meaning of life while curling. Caffeine usually helps, but sometimes I just need to focus on my form and the weight rather than the thoughts running through my head.

Honestly, I juggle being a mom and lifting too. Some days are rough with the focus, but I find meal prepping helps. If I have my snacks and meals ready, I can zone in better at the gym. Also, don't underestimate the power of a good playlist; it can totally transform your workout vibe.
