Red light in the bedroom, is it the real deal or just Huberman vibes?

TL;DR: Is red light therapy legit for improving sleep quality or just hype?

So I've been seeing a lot of hype around red light therapy for better sleep, and I gotta ask, does it actually work or is it just some influencer magic? I mean, I want those deep sleep cycles to really kick in and not wake up feeling like a zombie. Anyone had solid results with it? Or is it more of a placebo effect? Just trying to figure out if I should add this to my bedtime routine!

Red light therapy has shown some promise in studies for improving sleep quality. The idea is that it can help regulate circadian rhythms and potentially enhance melatonin production. Personally, I've been using it for a few weeks, and I feel like my sleep is deeper and I'm waking up more refreshed, but anecdotal evidence varies. If you're going to try it, I'd suggest monitoring your sleep patterns closely to see if there's a real change.

Ngl, I tried it out after hearing all the hype. Honestly, felt more relaxed at bedtime! I mean, I still drank my pre-workout before hitting the gym, but it was a chill vibe for sure. Just don't expect miracles.

I'm skeptical about the whole influencer magic thing, honestly. The science isn't conclusive yet, and some of these studies are small or lack rigor. Maybe it's just a placebo effect for some people? I'd recommend focusing on proven methods for sleep hygiene first, like maintaining a consistent bedtime and avoiding screens before sleep.

I get where you're coming from with the doubts. But I've seen some success stories from clients who've used red light therapy alongside good sleep hygiene. It's not a replacement for the basics, but if you enjoy the routine and feel something positive, keep it in your life. Everyone's body responds differently.

Bruh, if you're looking for a quick fix for sleep, good luck! I mean, I'd rather count sheep than rely on colored lights, but do you. At least it's not a bunch of bro science! 😂

I've been dealing with chronic fatigue, and I've tried various things for better sleep. I started using red light therapy about a month ago, and I've noticed some improvement in my sleep cycles. It's not a one-size-fits-all, but if you can incorporate it into your routine without too much hassle, it might be worth a shot!
