Can creatine really cause hair loss? I'm hearing mixed things!

TL;DR: Recent research debunks the myth that creatine causes hair loss; it doesn't affect DHT levels significantly

So, I was reading up on creatine and stumbled on this myth about it causing hair loss. It seems like everywhere I turn, someone's saying it messes with your hairline. But a recent study published in 2026 examined the link between creatine and DHT levels (the hormone linked to hair loss) and found no significant evidence supporting this claim! The study had a solid sample size and controlled for other factors. It's wild how misinformation can spread so easily. Just to set the record straight, it looks like we can keep enjoying our creatine without the hair loss worry! 🏋️‍♀️

There's a lot of noise around this topic. Creatine doesn't directly cause hair loss, but if someone is genetically predisposed, DHT levels can play a role. Just keep your overall health in check and track what works for u

Listen, if creatine made everyone bald, we'd have a lot of bald gym bros around. Sure, I've heard the same rumors, but I'm still sporting a full head of hair after two years of slamming that stuff. Maybe it just helps with my gains more than my hairline.

Facts! I mean, I can't afford to lose any hair, especially since I'm already rocking this veggie pixie cut! 😂 But seriously, it's nice to see studies backing up what we've all been saying. Creatine is my go-to for those extra reps.

Lol, yeah right. I've seen way more bros lose their gains than their hair on creatine. It's just a meme at this point. If you're worried about hair loss, maybe check ur family history instead of your creatine tub.

I can understand the concern. As someone who deals with chronic illness, I've had to be super careful about what I put in my body. I've used creatine for strength and recovery without any noticeable hair issues, but everyone's different. Always listen to your body.
