Maurten gels are a luxury, anyone got a budget-friendly alternative?

TL;DR: Looking for cheaper alternatives to Maurten gels that still work well for long runs.

So, I've been running longer distances lately, and these Maurten gels are like the caviar of the running world, $5 a pop! I'm just a dude trying to battle my demons on the pavement, not a trust fund baby. Anyone found something that works as well but doesn't cost me an arm and a leg? Gotta keep my wallet and my spirits intact here. Seriously, I just want to fuel my runs without feeling like I'm getting ripped off every time I hit the trail.
