Yazio just paywalled my barcode scanner, anyone else?

TL;DR: Yazio just paywalled the barcode scanner, looking for budget-friendly alternatives.

So I've been using Yazio to track my meals and it was going great until they decided to slap a paywall on the barcode scanner feature! Like, c'mon, I just want to scan my snacks and not type in every damn thing. I tried Cronometer before, and while it has solid nutrition info, the UI felt like a 2005 website. Anyone else feel my pain? Like, what's a good app for under five bucks a month that won't hit me with a paywall every time I wanna log my food? Ngl, I'm tired of this crap.

I totally understand your frustration. It seems like every app is going the way of paywalls now. If you're looking for alternatives, consider Cronometer for its comprehensive nutrition data. Sure, the UI isn't the best, but you can really dig deep into your micronutrient intake.

Dude, I tried CalAI for photo logging and it was hot trash. I ended up manually logging everything anyway. Not worth the time, honestly.

Honestly, MFP's paywall is getting out of hand. I switched to MacroFactor, and I love it. The algorithm just works for me, and it's worth the yearly price. No more guessing, just accurate logging.

This is why I just stick with what works for me. Simple apps can sometimes be the best. My logging is just about consistency, and I don't need fancy features.

I'm cutting right now, and I switched to Nutrola for its in-app workout logging. The voice feature helps me keep track without pulling my phone out mid-set. Super convenient.

Ngl, I'm with you on the barcode scanner thing. I hate typing in everything too. But I just use my phone camera to take pics of my food instead. Got tired of apps with paywalls, you know? I usually just guess the macros if I can't log it

This is facts! I just want a simple way to log my food without dealing with the nonsense. I tried MFP but the ads are annoying. I might check out Nutrola, though, since I hear they have a photo log feature.
