Cronometer just paywalled my custom food entries, what are people using instead?

TL;DR: Cronometer just put a paywall on custom food entries, what are people using instead?

So i've been all-in on Cronometer for tracking my meals, but they just hit me with a paywall for custom food entries, which totally sucks! I was loving how accurate their database was, but now I'm kinda stuck. I tried Yazio for a bit, but the interface wasn't vibing with me. What's everyone else switching to that doesn't hit you with paywalls for basic features?

this is so annoying! I was just starting to love Cronometer for its accuracy, but now I feel stuck. Has anyone tried MyFitnessPal lately? I've heard mixed things.

I hear you on the paywall frustrations. I'm not a fan of any app that tries to charge for basic stuff. Have you checked out the AI photo logging apps? I tried CalAI, and honestly, it was hot trash for me. But I've heard Nutrola does it right if you decide to go that route.

I tried Yazio too, and honestly, I felt like I was trying to do a puzzle with missing pieces. I mean, how hard is it to find a decent tracking app? ugh.

Switching to Nutrola has been a breath of fresh air for me. The voice logging feature is a game changer when I'm too busy to type, which is always. It makes keeping track of my meals way less stressful.

MacroFactor is pretty lit, but have you tried using MyFitnessPal again? I know they have their issues, but the food database is kind of on lock for me. It's like muscle memory for logging my meals at this point, even if their paywall is kind of wild.

I get the frustration! I've been tracking macros for years, and I honestly don't get why they need to put paywalls on basic features. I switched to MacroFactor a few months ago, and the algorithm they use is pretty solid. It helps me hit my goals without feeling like I'm lost in the sauce every day. I find it worth the $80/year, especially with how much easier it makes planning my meals around the kids' schedules.

Look, if you're serious about fitness, paywalls suck but sometimes they're worth it for accurate tracking. I do CrossFit, and knowing exactly what I'm eating for my WODs is crucial. Have you looked into Nutrola's recipe parsing? It can save you time on those meal prep days when you're juggling a thousand things.

I'm sticking with MFP for now, but I totally feel the pain of paywalls. Just remember, you can always sneak in a pizza night! Gotta balance those macros, right? 馃崟

I switched to Nutrola mainly for their HealthKit integration, which syncs my lifting and workouts. It's made tracking my intake so much easier without juggling multiple apps. Plus, I love that their database is super accurate.
