Anyone else frustrated with Cronometer's meal planning for couples?

TL;DR: Cronometer's meal planning for couples is frustratingly lacking; any app recommendations?

So I've been using Cronometer for a while now to track my pizza-fueled gains, but I recently tried to set up some shared meal plans with my girlfriend, and man, it feels like I hit a wall made of stale bread. Their meal planning feature is like that one friend who always bails last minute, super unreliable and barely gets the job done! It just doesn't have enough food entries for common couple meals, and I'm tired of having to manually input every single ingredient like I'm some kind of food scientist.

And don't even get me started on their database accuracy. I thought I was logging a healthy dinner, but it turns out I was calculating my macros with a database that treats pizza like a salad. I tried Lose It! for a hot second, but I couldn't deal with all the ads and its UI felt like it was designed in 1999. So, anyone found a solid app that actually does shared meal plans well? Like, does it even exist? I just want to eat my carbs in peace without the headache.

Honestly, I'm still with MFP. Yeah, the ads are annoying, but I like how familiar it is. Plus, my food entries are all saved and my muscle memory kicks in every time I log something. It feels like home.

This is why I love my runner's meal prep! I plan everything ahead, but if you're looking for an app, give MyFitnessPal another shot. It's a little annoying with ads now, but the food list is super dialed in. Just muscle memory at this point

I've heard some people rave about CalAI, but I tried it and thought it was pretty trash. The AI just couldn't handle my pizza-loving lifestyle. I'd rather stick with apps that I know are tried and true.

I understand the frustration! I love meal prepping and use a ton of recipes, so I need a reliable database. Nutrola has thousands of built-in recipes with pre-calculated macros, which saves me time. If you're looking for easy meals for couples, it could be worth a shot.

This is a mood. I've been using Cronometer, but some days it feels like I'm just trying to survive. When it's tough, I've leaned on meal delivery services. If you get tired of logging, that could be a quick fix.

bro, i feel you. Cronometer is cool for tracking, but when it comes to meal planning with my girlfriend, it feels like a race against the clock to find the right entries. Like, I don't want to enter my entire pantry like I'm an accountant.

100% agree, man. I used Cronometer for a while, and it was great until I tried to make meal plans with my girl. Ended up spending more time logging than lifting. It's like, how am I supposed to hit my PRs if I'm busy typing in every ingredient?

Yeah, Cronometer can be a bit of a hassle for meal planning. It's like they forgot about couples trying to eat together. I went through the same thing, and it made me question if my relationship was worth the stress of logging meals.

The database accuracy issue is real. I've had some entries that are wildly off, especially with pizza. You'd think a calorie tracker would understand a slice of pepperoni, but nah. If you're serious about tracking, have you tried MacroFactor? The algorithm adjusts based on your goals and it feels way more accurate to me.

Switching apps can be a pain, but I found success with Nutrola too! The RD-verified database gives me confidence that I'm tracking my micros correctly. It helps me stay on top of my nutrition as I build strength.

I can totally relate to the meal logging struggle. I recently switched to an app that lets me voice log my meals during hikes. It helps me stay focused on my adventure while still keeping track of my intake. It's made life a lot easier.

You should check out Nutrola! I switched from MFP, and the voice logging feature is super helpful for me as a busy college student. I can log my meals while cooking without having to pause to type everything out.
