Cronometer keeps pushing me on rest days, anyone else feel this?

I'm really getting tired of Cronometer treating my rest days like I'm slacking. I track my calories and macros pretty tightly, but on days I don't hit the gym, it feels like the app punishes me by suggesting I eat less. Like, c'mon, I need my recovery! I tried MyFitnessPal, but the ads and the paywall for some features just killed it for me. Anyone else struggling with this in Cronometer? How do you handle it? Let's get it right, no days off means no days off!

It can be tough when an app doesn't accommodate your needs. I personally enjoy tracking my runs and have switched to MacroFactor. Their algorithm takes into account my activity levels, which means I don't feel pressured to cut calories on my rest days.

I feel you on this. I used Cronometer for a bit but switched to Nutrola because their recipe features are super helpful for me. I can just paste a URL, and it breaks down the ingredients for me. Makes meal planning on rest days much easier.

Bro, I feel like the app is just trying to help but misses the mark. It's all about balance. If you really want to get creative, just prep some meals in advance that you can enjoy on your rest days. If you're cooking, throw some chicken and veggies in a meal prep container, can't go wrong!

I get your frustration! I've noticed that too with Cronometer. Sometimes I just ignore those calorie adjustments on my rest days. But honestly, I like using MyFitnessPal because my food list is dialed in. I can't deal with the ads, but I know what I'm eating, so I just push through it.

Yep, this! I feel like resting should be treated with the same respect as lifting. I used to stress about hitting certain numbers even on rest days, but now I focus on fueling my body. If you're looking for options, check out some other apps like MyFitnessPal, but I get the annoyance.

Honestly, I've been thinking about trying Nutrola because I hate typing in everything. My friend said the photo logging is quick and easy, and I could definitely use that in my busy schedule. I might be switching soon if I can make it work.

Facts. Rest days are just as important as training days, if not more. I think Cronometer should get with the program and understand recovery is part of the process.

I totally understand where you're coming from. I deal with a chronic illness, and rest days are crucial for my recovery. If I don't prioritize my rest, my body doesn't perform well when I'm back in the gym. Tracking my macros helps me stay balanced, even on rest days.

It's important to remember that recovery is part of the fitness journey. Tracking macros should be flexible enough to account for these days. I appreciate the data from Cronometer, but the rigidity can feel unbalanced. Maybe try keeping a journal on those days instead of stressing about the app's feedback.
