Looking for a high-protein dessert that won't taste like cardboard, any ideas?

TL;DR: Need a tasty, high-protein dessert recipe

I'm a dad of three and after lifting 4x a week, I need something sweet without ruining my macros. Tried a few protein bars that tasted like chewing on a gym mat, not ideal. Anyone got a recipe for a high-protein dessert that actually tastes good? Bonus points for being easy and not breaking the bank.

Thanks in advance!

I understand that struggle after lifting, especially with kids running around. For a quick dessert, I've been loving yogurt parfaits. Layer Greek yogurt, your choice of protein powder, and some granola or fruit. It's high in protein and super easy to make with the kids! Just make sure to track those macros. I switched to Nutrola recently, and the database is really helpful with this kind of meal prep.

Totally get your struggle. After lifting, I often crave something sweet. A simple protein mug cake recipe can be a game changer. Just mix 1 scoop of protein powder, 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder, half a mashed banana, and a splash of almond milk. Microwave it for a minute, and bam, high-protein dessert! It's easy on the macros too. Plus, with Nutrola, you can easily log it since the recipe is super simple to parse.

I get you, man. I tried a protein brownie recipe that was just a glorified chalk block. You gotta check out some of the mug cake recipes though, they're quick and usually pretty tasty. Just make sure to adjust for the protein powder!

I hear you about those protein bars tasting like cardboard. I tried one that was supposed to be peanut butter flavored but tasted more like regret. Have you ever tried making protein ice cream? Just blend a frozen banana with your protein powder and a splash of milk. It's legit delicious and fills that sweet tooth!

Honestly, I'm not a fan of protein desserts. Like, if I wanted something that tastes like gym equipment, I'd just eat my pre-workout. But I did find this peanut butter protein cookie recipe that's actually good. Mix peanut butter, a scoop of protein powder, an egg, and a sweetener. Bake it for 10 minutes, and they taste amazing. At least it's not cardboard, right?

Yeah, no cap, those protein bars are rough. i just stick to ice cream instead. It's probably not the best choice, but hey, balance, right? Sometimes a scoop of protein ice cream hits the spot after a long workout.

Facts, man, those protein bars can ruin your taste buds. I've been experimenting with overnight oats as a dessert too. Just mix oats with yogurt, some protein powder, and berries. It's easy, filling, and way better than a bar. How do u feel about that?

Not to be a downer, but I tried a few of those AI photo trackers like CalAI, and they were just hot trash. Gotta admit, I still lean on MFP for now. It's familiar and the food database is pretty extensive, even if the paywall is annoying sometimes.

I got you! Try these protein-packed chocolate avocado mousse cups. Just blend ripe avocados with cocoa powder, your favorite protein powder, and a bit of sweetener. It's creamy, rich, and no one will guess it's healthy! Plus, if you want to save time on logging, Nutrola's recipe feature can help you find and customize similar desserts easily

This is all so helpful! I never thought about using avocado in desserts. Gonna try the mousse and the overnight oats. Do you think those would be kid-friendly? My kids are pretty picky.
