Any air fryer recipes for cutting season? I need ideas!

TL;DR: Need air fryer recipes for cutting season that are high-protein, low-cal, and kid-friendly.

So, cutting season is upon us, and I need some help, fam. Between three kids and a crazy schedule, finding the time to whip up healthy meals is a full-time job. I recently got an air fryer (finally jumped on that bandwagon), and I'm looking for some high-protein, low-cal options that won't break the bank.

I've tried making some chicken breast and veggies, but I feel like I'm stuck in a rut. I need recipes that are quick to prep, filling, and something I can actually get the kids to eat (because let's be real, I can't survive on chicken nuggets for the next few months). If anyone has any go-to air fryer recipes that fit the bill, please share!

I'm trying to hit around 400 kcal and at least 30g of protein per meal. I swear if I have to eat one more sad salad, I might just lose it. Let's get cooking!

if u want protein, try air frying some egg bites! crack a few eggs, mix in your favorite veggies and maybe some cheese, pour them in silicone molds, and air fry for about 15 mins. u can even prep them ahead and just heat them up during the week. plus they're easy to customize! 100% would recommend.

Honestly, cooking in an air fryer is kind of a skill issue if you can't figure it out yet. Just experiment a bit. Also, I'd throw some mixed nuts in there for quick protein. Just don't burn them, lmao.

For a quick snack or meal, try air fryer chickpeas! Just toss them with some spices and air fry until crispy. They're high in protein and fiber, and the kids might even enjoy them as a crunchy treat. Just be ready to share, because they can be addictive.

I totally get where you're coming from! With three kids, it's like a whirlwind in my kitchen every day. I tried air frying some turkey meatballs recently, and the kids actually devoured them. Just mix ground turkey with some oats, egg, and spices, shape them into balls, and air fry for about 12-15 minutes. You can pair them with veggies or whole grain pasta to keep it filling. It's quick and easy, and I didn't have to deal with a ton of cleanup afterward!

I love using my air fryer for quick veggie burgers! I mix black beans, oats, spices, and some shredded veggies. They cook in like 10 minutes and pack a good protein punch. Serve with whole grain buns and the kids will think they're eating fast food, but you know they're healthy! Perfect for cutting season, right?

Not to be a downer, but I think you might want to keep an eye on the quality of your ingredients too. Like, those pre-packaged air fryer foods might look easy, but the hidden calories can add up fast. Stick with whole foods when you can. It's like the difference between a genuine high-protein meal and a frozen option that claims to be healthy.

You should definitely try air fryer salmon! Just season with some lemon, garlic, and herbs, and it cooks super fast. You get around 25g of protein and it's so tasty. I often make it before a long run or workout to ensure I'm fueled right. Pair it with some sweet potatoes for extra carbs, and you've got a solid pre-workout meal!

Cutting season can be tough, especially with family obligations. One thing I recommend is utilizing lean proteins like shrimp or fish, which can be cooked quickly in an air fryer. For example, seasoned shrimp tossed with some olive oil and garlic can cook in about 8-10 minutes, yielding a high protein option without the added calories. Pair it with a side of steamed broccoli or a quinoa salad to hit those macros.

You might also consider making cauliflower rice in the air fryer! It cooks really fast and is super low in calories. You can stir-fry it with some chicken and spices for a filling meal. The kids will love it if you add some soy sauce and sesame seeds. It's all about making it fun for them!
