Are tracker apps just anxiety-inducing BS? Alternatives?
Man, I gotta vent for a sec. These calorie tracker apps are driving me nuts! MyFitnessPal, MacroFactor, Hevy... they all sound great, but honestly, the constant input of numbers is just giving me mad anxiety. Like, I get it, tracking is key to progress, but do I really need to log every single bite I take? It feels like I'm more focused on the app than actually hitting my PRs.
I've been coaching for five years, and I've seen my clients freak out over TDEE calculations and weighing every damn piece of food. It's like, do we want to be lifters or data analysts? I've been on plateaus that felt like they lasted a lifetime just because I was obsessing over the minutiae. I want results but not at the cost of my sanity!
So, for my fellow fit fam out there, any alternatives that aren't so number-heavy? How do you track your intake without feeling like you're in a spreadsheet nightmare?
Let's swap some strategies, because this grind needs to be a little less stressful and a lot more about the gains!
