Yazio just paywalled my barcode scanner, anyone else?

TL;DR: Yazio paywalled the barcode scanner, need a better tracker for my busy lifestyle.

So I've been trying to track my food with Yazio, right? But now they're hitting me with a paywall for the barcode scanner feature. Like, I barely have time to eat, let alone spend hours entering everything manually! I need something that fits my chaotic PhD schedule, but every app seems to be getting greedier. Anyone else feelin' this pain or have suggestions for a tracker that won't screw me over?

This whole situation sucks, lol. It's like they're all in a race to see who can charge us the most. I'm sticking with MFP for now because I know it inside out. I just grab my coffee and get to work! Changing apps sounds like a headache.

I feel you on that, man. I was using Yazio too but got hit with the paywall for barcode scanning. Now I'm back to MFP, even with its flaws. At least my food list is dialed in and I can rely on muscle memory for tracking.

I tried that CalAI app once for photo logging. Hot trash, honestly. Ended up switching to Nutrola. The barcode scanner actually finds niche brands, and I've been able to track my meals super fast. It's great for busy days when I don't want to deal with manual entry.

Man, I was in the same boat with the paywalls messing with my routine. I switched to Nutrola as well. The streak system keeps me motivated, but I'll admit it gives me a bit of anxiety sometimes. Still, it keeps me logging and that's what I need

It's rough out there for sure. I juggle work and family, and Yazio was a lifesaver until they added that paywall. Now, I'm using Nutrola, and the voice logging feature is fantastic for when I'm in the kitchen with the kids. It's hands-free, which is a must for me.

Yep, totally get it. Sometimes it feels like these apps are just finding ways to squeeze more cash from us instead of helping. You might want to check out Cronometer too. It's a bit nerdy, but I love the micronutrient tracking!

I used to be loyal to MFP, but man, the paywall creep is wild. I switched to MacroFactor a few months ago and it's been a game changer for me. The algorithm just works for tracking my intake without needing to fuss with it all the time. Plus, I can see my progress clearly, which is nice.
