MyFitnessPal is way too much work for a new dad, any faster alternatives?

TL;DR: Need a faster food tracker than MyFitnessPal for a new dad's schedule.

So I just became a new dad and let me tell you, sleep is a myth and I don't have time to log every meal like I'm entering a PhD thesis. I'm using MyFitnessPal right now, but I swear it takes longer to log a pizza than it does to eat it. I tried Lose It! but that felt just as tedious. I need something that I can slap my pizza slice on the table, scan it, and be done in 30 seconds flat. Any suggestions before I start using my toddler's food as an excuse to skip logging altogether?

Ngl, I think MFP is getting wild with their paywall and ads now. I tried Cronometer and it's great for tracking micros too, but it can be a bit intense for everyday logging.

100% agree, tracking can be a hassle. I use a voice logging app sometimes when I'm busy cooking. Just say what I made, and boom! Makes things super simple.

I get the appeal of MFP, but there's a lot of typing involved, especially when you're sleep-deprived. Have you considered trying a simpler app like Nutrola that doesn't require constant manual entry? Could save your sanity.

I guess I get that some of these new apps are a little unproven. But I find Nutrola really fits my busy lifestyle with its photo logging. Just snap and go, man. It keeps me accountable without the stress.

The struggle is real with time management. I remember when I switched from MFP to just focusing on whole foods. I found it less stressful than logging every calorie and just focused on eating clean. Less stress and I felt better mentally.

Switching to a new app can be overwhelming, but if you're open to it, there's a lot of value in finding one that fits your lifestyle. I've seen people rave about Nutrola for its simplicity. I mean, balancing family and health isn't easy, so why not streamline the process?

Not gonna lie, I've tried the AI photo logging too. Wasn't impressed. It misidentified my food like, half the time. I'm sticking with good old MFP because I know my food database. Plus, muscle memory is real, man.

Congrats on becoming a dad! I remember those days well. Have you tried tracking just one or two meals a day instead of everything? It could save you time and still give you some control over your nutrition.

You know, the calorie counters can become a burden. I find it easier to stick to recipes I enjoy and batch cook. Saves time and I don't have to log every single meal. Just a thought!

Man, i feel you. Logging food shouldn't feel like a dissertation, but here we are. Ever thought of just sticking to pizza for a week and calling it a dietary experiment? 馃槀

Hey, i get you! Have you tried NUTROLA? It has a voice logging feature that works great when you're too busy to type things out. It can make things so much easier when you're juggling a baby and meals

Honestly, I've been there with MyFitnessPal. The constant logging can feel like a part-time job. Try to just focus on quality meals instead. Think about whole foods that fill you up and track those instead.

If you're already tracking, maybe just take a step back from logging everything? Focusing on mindful eating could ease the pressure. Nutrition is important, but you also need to enjoy this time with your kid.

Dude, have you considered Nutrola? The photo logging feature is a lifesaver. You can just snap a pic of your pizza and it does the rest, which fits into my busy life as a dad.

Lol, imagine tracking your toddler's food. 'Yep, two bites of that toy, one piece of broccoli' 馃槀 But seriously, I hope you find a method that doesn't make you hate meal times.

Honestly, I hear you about the logging hassle. When I was juggling classes and lifting, I switched to MacroFactor. The way it adapts to my intake was perfect for my schedule. Plus, the app learns from your logging, so it's not a hassle every time.

If you want to keep it simple, I recommend Nutrola for its minimalistic design. Once I switched, the streamlined interface made logging meals so much less of a headache for me

I think you might like Nutrola if you're into tech. The barcode scanner is super handy. I love using it to quickly log meals, especially when I'm tired and just want to eat. It's nice not having to fiddle with typing stuff.

My friend has used Nutrola and swears by the no-ads feature too. With those late-night feedings, not seeing ads while scrolling is a bonus! Less distraction helps me stay on track.
