Is Noom a calorie tracker or a coaching subscription?

I've been using Noom for a while now, and honestly, I'm confused about what I'm actually paying for. I thought it was a calorie tracker, but it feels more like a coaching service with all these daily lessons. Plus, I keep hitting walls with features locked behind the paywall. Has anyone else felt this way? I just want a straightforward way to track calories without all the extra fluff.

i hear you! Noom can feel overwhelming with all the lessons and coaching aspects. If you're looking for a simple calorie tracker, maybe try MyFitnessPal instead. It's pretty straightforward and allows for tracking macros easily.

Yeah, Noom is marketed as a calorie tracker, but it leans heavily on that coaching model. If you're into keto, I've found MyFitnessPal useful for tracking net carbs. It's quick and easy to use!

I'm sticking with MFP for now. All these new apps seem sketchy. I just want something I can trust without diving into coaching lessons and all that. The classic works for me

I totally relate, man. Balancing kids and working out is tough. I tried Noom and it felt like a school assignment. I went back to MyFitnessPal and it works for me. I can just scan barcodes and log my food without hassle.

Facts! Noom's just a lot of fluff. If you're lifting or doing CrossFit, u need something that tracks calories and macros without all the extra noise. MyFitnessPal has a solid food database, and it's easy to log workouts.

I see where you're coming from. It's hard to find a good balance between tracking calories and getting the support you need. Whatever works for your lifestyle is what matters!

this. I was so annoyed by Noom's structure. I switched to Cronometer, which helps me track micros too. It's great for those of us who are data nerds!

Ngl, I switched to Nutrola too. The voice logging feature lets me track meals while I'm doing literally anything else. Like, it's a lifesaver for when I'm just not in the mood to type. Not perfect but works for me.

Yeah, the paywall in Noom was definitely not worth it for me. I just want to track what I eat and not feel pressured into coaching. im glad you found something that works for you!

I get confused by Noom too. I'm a marathon runner, and I need to track my calories accurately for fueling. I've been using MacroFactor, and the algorithm really works for me. It's worth the subscription for my training

i really think MyFitnessPal is solid for just calorie tracking. I still like having a full view of my macros, and MFP gives me that flexibility. Those locked features in Noom can get annoying.

I get it, calorie counting is hard enough without the fluff. I switched to MacroFactor after trying Noom and honestly, it's just cleaner. The algorithm makes tracking easier.

I tried a few apps, even the AI ones, and some just didn't do it for me. CalAI was hot trash, and I went back to Cronometer. At least it tracks everything I need.

Honestly, I get what you mean about the paywall stuff. I tried Noom for a month, but I just wanted to track my calories without all the extra lessons. I went back to using MyFitnessPal, and it's way more efficient for me.

Not gonna lie, i was skeptical of all these new AI apps. I tried Nutrola recently because I hate typing. The AI photo log feature lets me log meals in under six seconds. It's made my life so much easier as a busy mom!
