Looking for quick high-protein dorm room recipes (no oven!)

TL;DR: Looking for quick, high-protein dorm room recipes that don't require an oven.

Hey everyone, so I've been living in a dorm for a bit now, and honestly, I'm struggling to whip up anything that feels substantial without an oven. I'm all about that intuitive eating life, but sometimes I just need something that packs a punch in protein and is super easy to make, you know?

I've tried some quick fixes like microwaveable rice and canned beans, but I want to step it up! I'd love to hear what you guys are making that doesn't require a full kitchen setup. Like, do you have any go-to meals that are high in protein, budget-friendly, and quick to prepare? I need ideas that are good after a workout and won't take me forever.

For reference, I'm aiming for around 20-30g of protein per meal. If you have any recipe ideas with the ingredients and steps (plus those macro counts if you can), I'd appreciate it tons! Let's share some delicious dorm life hacks together!

For quick protein, try making a microwave omelette! Just beat a couple of eggs, add in some spinach and cheese, and microwave for about 1-2 minutes. It's super filling and has a good punch of protein! 馃馃挭

100% agree with the microwave omelette! I mix in some leftover chicken or turkey for extra protein. Also, I love throwing together a quick protein smoothie with Greek yogurt, frozen berries, and some protein powder. It's like a dessert and a snack at once!

If you're into intuitive eating, just remember to listen to your hunger cues! It's all about balance, so whatever high-protein meals u're making, make sure they're satisfying for you. I love making a quick protein bowl with whatever I have in the fridge, just keep it simple.

Bro, if you're bulking, consider a high-protein peanut butter sandwich! Use whole grain bread and slather on that peanut butter. It can give you around 30g protein if you load it up. It's legit a lifesaver for post-workout too!

Ooh, I've been trying to eat more protein too! What about those canned chickpeas? They're awesome for a quick salad. Just toss them with some olive oil, lemon juice, and your fave spices. Super easy and high in protein! Anyone else do this?

Tbh, don't forget about yogurt! I usually get the Greek kind. You can add some honey and berries for a tasty snack that'll hit those protein goals without much fuss. Plus, my kids love it too, so it's a win-win.

Another option is high-protein microwaveable quinoa or lentils. These can provide around 15-20g protein per serving and can be easily combined with veggies or a protein source like cottage cheese. Keep in mind that some pre-packaged options may have added sugars or sodium, so check the labels if you're monitoring macros.

Yeah, but canned chickpeas can be kinda bland. Do they even count? Like, what's the deal with chickpeas for protein anyway? I'm just starting out and trying to learn more about what actually works. Anyone got tips?

If you're looking for a solid protein source, check out canned tuna or salmon. Mix it with Greek yogurt instead of mayo, add some spices, and you've got a creamy dip that's great with whole grain crackers. Roughly 30g protein per can! Plus, it's super budget-friendly.

Canned chickpeas can be super versatile! You can roast them in the microwave or mash them for a spread. Just season them right and they can pack a protein punch. Plus, they're cheap and last forever. So they're kinda a dorm essential.
