What's your go-to high-protein breakfast under 5 mins?

TL;DR: Need quick, high-protein breakfast ideas that take under 5 mins!

Alright, I'm tired of scrolling through IG and seeing these elaborate breakfast spreads that take longer to prep than my workout. Who's got the hook-up for a legit high-protein breakfast that doesn't require a PhD in cooking? Here's my current go-to:

Microwave Egg Scramble:

  • 3 large eggs (210 kcal, 18g protein)
  • 1 oz shredded cheese (110 kcal, 7g protein)
  • 2 tbsp salsa (10 kcal, 0g protein)
  • Seasoning (whatever you got)

Steps:

  1. Crack eggs into a bowl, whisk that bad boy up.
  2. Toss in cheese and salsa, mix it.
  3. Microwave for 1-2 mins, stirring halfway through.
  4. Season to taste.

Total: 330 kcal, 25g protein, prep time 5 mins max.

Lemme hear your quick meals, cause I need more protein in my life without turning breakfast into a 30-minute chore.

For real, breakfast should be quick. I usually just do some hard-boiled eggs in advance. They last for a week in the fridge, and you can pop a couple in the microwave if you want them warm. High protein and zero hassle!

Love your microwave idea, but have you considered tracking your macros? If you're serious about gains, apps like MacroFactor help you dial in your protein intake without much hassle. It's super user-friendly and has a great database. I'm not saying you have to log everything, but just a few days can really show you where you might be lacking.

Love this idea! I usually go for a quick protein smoothie when I'm short on time. Just throw a scoop of protein powder, a banana, and some spinach into the blender. Takes literally 2 minutes, and you can even drink it on the way to work. Plus, you can customize it with different fruits or nut butter for added flavor.

i tried making this microwave egg scramble, and it was lit! But if you want to mix it up, throw in some diced ham or turkey for even more protein. Just make sure you're not skimping on the flavor - seasoning is key! 🥚

That egg scramble is nice, but my go-to is oatmeal with protein powder mixed in. It takes like 2 minutes in the microwave, and it's a solid start to the day. i usually add a bit of cinnamon and some fruit, too. Makes me feel like a champ, plus the carbs help with my lifting sessions.

This is solid! Another quick option I like is Greek yogurt with some granola and berries. Greek yogurt packs a punch with protein, usually around 20 grams per serving. I mix in a tablespoon of honey for a little sweetness. If you're feeling fancy, add some chia seeds for extra fiber and omega-3s!

Honestly, I don't see how people spend so much time on breakfast. Just slap together some cottage cheese with fruit and you're good to go. High protein, super tasty, and it literally takes a minute. 100% based, especially if you're bulking and need that extra protein!

As someone who just completed my first marathon, breakfast matters. I found that having a high-protein breakfast keeps my energy steady during runs. I typically go for oatmeal with nut butter and a scoop of protein powder. Keeps me full and fuels my long runs!

If you're interested in plant-based options, I whip up a tofu scramble in under 5 mins. Just crumble some firm tofu, toss in a pan with spices, and sauté. It's packed with protein, plus you can add veggies like spinach or bell peppers for added nutrients. A solid choice for those looking for a vegan alternative!
