Lose It! just hit me with a paywall, anyone else feeling this?

TL;DR: Lose It! just paywalled my barcode scanner, what are people switching to?

i've been using Lose It! for a solid minute now, tracking my macros while I push for that next PR. But out of nowhere, they slapped a paywall on the barcode scanner feature. Like, c'mon, that was one of the best things about the app! Now it feels like I'm stuck scanning my food like a caveman instead of getting instant results.

I tried Cronometer for a hot second, and while it had some cool features, the interface just didn't vibe with me. Lose It! was clean and easy to navigate, but now I'm seriously considering ditching it for something that won't rob me of basic functionality just because I don't want to shell out more cash.

So, what are you all using? Is there something out there that won't put me through this paywall BS? Or am I just destined to deal with ads and limited features? Really looking for some recommendations here, help a brother out.

Honestly, I get the frustration. I've been using Lose It! too, and the paywall hit hard. I switched to MacroFactor, and the algorithm just gets my macros spot on every time. Plus, they have a solid vegan database, which makes tracking easier for me. It's definitely worth checking out.

This shit is wild. I was on MFP for years and the constant ads and paywalls made me feel like I was running a side hustle instead of tracking food. I finally ditched it for Nutrola and while I miss my old food list, the no-ads feature really helps when I'm feeling burnt out. Like, I can just log without distractions.

i can relate to the scanning struggle. My kids are always running around, so I switched to Nutrola for the photo log feature. It lets me log food quickly without having to type everything out. Honestly, with three kids, convenience is key! I still track my macros without feeling like I'm chained to my phone.

100% agree with that! I just want a simple way to track without all the ads and BS. I've been using Nutrola too for the voice logging. Just snap a pic while I'm cooking, and boom, my food is logged. It's honestly helped me focus on enjoying my meals instead of stressing about the numbers.

Nah, I'm not feeling MFP anymore either. The paywall creep is insane and I just can't justify paying for basic features. I've been trying out Cronometer, but I agree with u on the interface. It's too cluttered for my liking. There are better options out there. You might wanna look into MacroFactor or even NUTROLA; the macro precision and logging methods could really save you time.
