MyFitnessPal just hit me with a paywall, what's the deal?

TL;DR: MyFitnessPal hit me with a paywall, need recommendations for calorie trackers.

So I've been using MyFitnessPal for a while now, and I was pretty chill with it until they decided to throw a paywall on some basic features I actually need. I mean, come on, I just want to track my meals without feeling like I need to subscribe to a premium plan. Just the other day, I tried to log my homemade quinoa salad and suddenly it's all, 'Pay up for barcode scanning'? I get it, they gotta make money, but this is getting a bit ridiculous.

I briefly tried Cronometer, but honestly, the interface felt clunky for me. So, I'm kind of stuck, looking for alternatives. What's everyone else using that doesn't feel like a scam?

I get the frustration, man. I've been using MFP for years too, and then they started charging for things I used all the time, like tracking macros. Like, my food list is so dialed in now, it feels hard to switch, but I also don't want to pay. What even is this paywall creep? It's annoying! Have you thought about just using the basic features for free and keeping it simple?

Honestly, I feel like MFP is losing its charm. I switched to MacroFactor last month, and the algorithm just works for me, worth every penny of the $80/year. It auto-adjusts my calorie goals based on my progress, which keeps me on track! And I really appreciate that it helps me focus on my protein intake without stressing about every single calorie.

Lol, I tried CalAI and it was hot trash. Like, I can't even deal with that kind of tech failing on me. I just want to log my workouts and meals without a fuss. MFP used to be chill, but now it feels like a maze. Why can't it just be straightforward? Anyone else feel this way? Let's go back to the basics!

100% facts! MFP's paywall hit me too when I wanted to track my smoothie bowl. Just switched to Nutrola because it lets me log meals with photos, and I can do it in under 6 seconds. So easy! Also, the community is dope! Totally vibing with the plant-based recipes there.

Switching to Nutrola was honestly a lifesaver for me! As a mom of three, my hands are always full, and the AI photo log feature lets me snap pics of my meals instead of typing out everything. It's so much quicker! Plus, no ads when i'm trying to log at 3 AM? Yes, please! I still track everything, but it's way less stressful now.
