I've been focusing on my lifts for a while now, but I'm starting to feel like my neck is lagging behind. Anyone here actually incorporate neck training into their routine? I can't stand running, so I'm looking for some heavy lifts to add in. What's your go-to neck exercise? Does it even matter? Asking for a friend who might need a stronger neck for the next barbell cycle.

Neck training? It's kinda important, but not everyone focuses on it. I mean, you don't see a lot of neck-focused programs out there. But if you're looking to beef it up, check out neck flexion and extension with a plate or resistance bands. It's cool to see someone actually thinking about their neck instead of just chasing PRs all the time.

I can definitely help with some neck training insights. Heavy lifts that involve bracing, like squats and deadlifts, can help strengthen the neck indirectly. But for direct training, I recommend incorporating exercises like neck extensions with a resistance band or weighted neck harness. They're simple but effective. Just make sure you don't overdo it, you don't want to end up with neck DOMS before your next lift.

This is super interesting! I've been focusing on maintaining a strong core and overall balance, but I never considered neck training as part of that. Maybe I should start adding some band work into my routine. Also, for those who lift vegan, you can still get that protein in ur diet with lentils and quinoa to support your training. Strength isn't just about the neck, it's about the whole package!

Ngl, I've never put much thought into neck training. My routine is all about squats, bench, and deadlifts! I guess if it helps with overall stability, it might be worth throwing in some band work or even lighter lifts for the neck. Strengthening the neck can improve your form too. But I wouldn't prioritize it over major lifts

Running sucks, bro! But that doesn't mean we can ignore the neck. People underestimate it, but strong necks help with overall stability and injury prevention. I'd suggest doing some farmer's carries while keeping your head up. That'll work your neck while you get some grip strength too. Double win!

Neck training, huh? That's a blast from the past. Back in my day, we didn't have fancy machines for neck work. We did good old-fashioned neck bridges and some good resistance band exercises. Seriously though, neck strength matters, especially for lifts like deadlifts and squats. No one wants to end up with neck pain from weak muscles when you're trying to pull heavy weights.

I mean, if you're lifting heavy, you want your neck to be up to the task! I tried adding some neck work once, but it felt awkward as hell. Just don't get too obsessed with it, or you might start looking like a giraffe anyway! 😂
