I've been hitting 405 for deadlifts for half a year now, and it's getting old. I've tried different rep schemes and even switched to a Texas Method program for a change. My form is solid, and I'm consistent with training, but progress is nonexistent. Anyone got ideas on what I can switch up to finally break this plateau?

Plateaus can feel so frustrating, man. From my experience, sometimes it's not just about increasing weight but changing your mindset too. Consider focusing on your breathing and technique during lifts, rather than just the number on the bar. Incorporate some mindfulness practices to ease the pressure, it might make a difference.

Fr, what if you're just a bit burned out? Sometimes taking a step back, like a deload week or lighter workouts, can help your body reset and come back stronger. Just saying, pushing hard all the time ain't always the move.

Lol, skill issue. But fr, have you tried different grips? Switching to a hook grip helped me lift heavier. It could really help u feel more secure with your pull, especially at that weight.

As a busy mom, I totally understand those plateaus. I had a phase where I couldn't break 225 for months, and it turned out my nutrition was off. I started tracking my meals more closely and ensuring I was getting enough protein and calories, which helped! Have you thought about your overall diet recently?

Honestly, if you're consistently lifting 405 but not progressing, it might be worth looking at your volume and intensity. Are you training at an appropriate RPE? If you're always going all out, you might want to dial it back a bit and focus on hypertrophy for a cycle, which can lead to better strength gains when you ramp back up.

As a dad trying to keep up with the kids, I know how tough it can be! Just keep your spirits up! Have you thought about mixing in some different movements? Like, Romanian deadlifts or some good ol' kettlebell swings to shake things up? Keep it fresh, and remember to enjoy the process

Try switching up ur accessory work! Adding more pulls and lunges could help build your strength in those specific areas. Don't be afraid to experiment with the variations, like deficit deadlifts or snatch-grip deadlifts, to hit different muscle fibers!

Don't forget about recovery! If your muscles aren't getting enough time to repair, hitting the same weight repeatedly can happen. I started prioritizing sleep and proper nutrition, and I saw some solid gains afterwards. A good mix of protein and carbs post-workout can work wonders.
