So, I've been hitting the machines hard lately, but I can't shake this feeling that I'm just wasting my time. Like, am I missing out on some serious gains by not using free weights? Ngl, I love how easy machines are, but I want those PRs too! Should I ditch the machines or can they coexist in my routine?

There's a study that showed free weights can improve functional strength more than machines. Machines might have their place, but they can limit your range of motion. Try mixing it up but don't ditch free weights, man. Science says so.

Machines can be useful, but don't let them become a crutch. You might miss out on engaging stabilizer muscles, which is crucial for overall strength. Free weights let you develop balance too.

100% agree with the hybrid approach! Mixing machines and free weights gives you gains and variety. I personally love the leg press for that extra burn after squats, it slaps!

bro, if machines were the way to go, we'd all just be getting jacked in a pizza shop. 😂

Ngl, I started with machines too but felt kinda stuck after a while. Switched to free weights, and honestly, it felt more satisfying. Give it a shot, even just once a week.

It's all about progression. If you feel stronger on machines, use them! But start incorporating free weights gradually. Tracking your lifts will show you if you're really making progress. That's the best way to measure gains

I think both can coexist! Machines are great for isolating muscles and building strength, but free weights engage more muscle groups and improve your overall coordination. You can do a hybrid routine to get the best of both worlds.

As a mom, I get it! Sometimes machines are just easier with kids around, but I try to sneak in some free weight sessions too. It's a juggle, but every bit counts for those PRs.

Back in my day, we didn't have fancy machines! We lifted heavy and got strong. Machines are good for beginners, but as you progress, you'll find free weights will challenge you more. If you really want those gains, you gotta put in the effort.

Machines can be a good way to get started, but if you're after real gains, you gotta incorporate free weights. The stabilization you get from free weights is key for strength and muscle growth. Don't skip them if you want those PRs, bro
