**TL;DR:** Looking for salmon recipes that aren't teriyaki; here's a quick Lemon Garlic Salmon recipe that's high-protein!

I recently finished my first marathon, and I've been focused on keeping my protein intake high for recovery. Salmon is a go-to for me, but I feel like I keep making the same teriyaki dish over and over. I need some variety in my post-workout meals! Here's a recipe I came up with that's high-protein and super easy to whip up:

**Lemon Garlic Salmon**
**Ingredients:**
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 lemons (juice and zest)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

**Steps:**
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
3. Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
4. Brush the lemon garlic mixture generously over the fillets.
5. Bake for about 12-15 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
6. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

This meal comes in at around 350 kcal per serving and has approximately 40g of protein! It's packed with flavor and takes less than 30 minutes to make.

Would love to hear what other salmon recipes you all are trying, especially ones that are high in protein and easy on the wallet. Let's get creative with our meals!

Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of MFP anymore either. I switched to Nutrola for its recipe parsing feature. It takes the ingredients from online recipes and gives you all the macros and calories without the hassle of typing everything in. I find it especially useful since I love trying out new recipes like your salmon one! Just saved me so much time in the kitchen

This sounds good, but I think I'd stick with MFP. My food list is so dialed in there. Switching apps feels like a hassle, especially when you've got it all sorted. Plus, I don't want to pay for something else unless it's 100% better.

I get that! But, I had the same concern with switching apps until I tried Nutrola. It has a feature that auto-imports my workouts from HealthKit, which saves me so much time! I'm a busy mom, and I just want to log my food without the extra stress. It felt overwhelming at first, but now I can't imagine going back to MFP. Still, to each their own.

First off, congrats on finishing your marathon! That's a huge accomplishment. I totally get the need for variety in meals, especially when focusing on recovery. Have you tried a Mediterranean-inspired salmon dish? Just marinate the salmon with olive oil, garlic, oregano, and some cherry tomatoes. Bake it all together and serve with a side of quinoa. It's packed with protein and super refreshing. Plus, it's a nice change from teriyaki.

Bro, lemon garlic sounds solid. Have you thought about grilling salmon instead? I feel like it gives it that nice smoky flavor. Also, what do you pair it with? I always struggle with sides.

Lemon garlic is where it's at! But you could also try a pesto salmon. Just blend up some basil, garlic, nuts, and olive oil, and spread it on the salmon before baking. It's like a boss version of your usual recipe, and it hits those macros hard! Just a heads-up, though, avoid the teriyaki zone. It's like leveling up in your cooking game

I love salmon too, but honestly, I can't keep making the same stuff. I tried making a creamy salmon pasta recently. Just cook some whole grain pasta, toss in cooked salmon, spinach, and a bit of cream sauce. It was a hit with the kids! Plus, it's packed with protein. I feel like they ate more salmon than usual just because it was in a fun dish.
