**TL;DR:** Just hit a 10 lb deadlift PR at 40 after 3 months of training!

At 40, and after having two kids, I just hit a 10 lb PR on my deadlift! 🏋️‍♀️ It took me about 3 months of consistent training to get here, and I feel stronger than ever. I'm all about showing my kids that age doesn't limit your potential. Who else is smashing their fitness goals at this age?

That's amazing! I'm 40 too, and I just started getting into lifting seriously after my second kid. It's inspiring to see how strong we can still be! I've been focusing on my form and increasing my weight slowly, and it's paying off.

Strong progress! At 45, I can tell you that strength training has only improved with age. Hormonal changes can actually benefit muscle retention. Plus, experience in training helps refine technique, leading to better PRs. Keep pushing!

I hear you on that! The injury recovery thing is rough, but I see age as a chance to learn from mistakes and improve. If I can do it, anyone can! Did you have a coach helping with your lifts?

It's interesting to see how different people respond to training as they age. I track my macros pretty strictly, and it seems like focusing on nutrition has made a huge difference in my progress. What's your routine like?

This is wild! I can't even deadlift half that! I'm just a broke college student trying to figure this whole fitness thing out. Any tips for a budget-friendly diet that supports lifting?

I feel you on that. Starting out can be intimidating, but everyone was a beginner once! Just focus on getting better every day, and don't worry about the weight. Trust the process and have fun with it.

You're so right about age. I've been running for a couple of years, and I've seen people in their 40s and 50s outrun me! It's all about mindset and training. Did u increase your deadlift weight gradually?

I love this! Fitness can be such a journey, and we can all keep getting stronger. I've been trying to mix in some resistance training along with my runs. What's your favorite exercise for deadlifts?

10 lb PR? That's lit! Keep smashing those goals! I'm over here just trying to bulk up and eat all the gains.

This slaps! I love how u're teaching your kids about fitness. I'm only 22 and still learning, but I think it's cool to set a strong example. What are your kids' reactions to your progress?

Congrats! Ageism in fitness is so outdated. I'm vegan, and I love showing that you can lift heavy and still thrive on plants. Have you tried any plant-based proteins? They can really support recovery.

Facts! Age is just a number, honestly. My mom started lifting at 45 and now she's crushing it at the gym! Seeing you hit a PR is so motivating for others.

So proud of you! Age doesn't limit strength, it just challenges us to adapt. i have three kids and have seen so many moms get strong through powerlifting. It's about building a strong foundation and staying consistent.

Totally agree, it's about mindset! I think the best part is showing my kids that fitness can be a lifelong journey. They've even started joining me for some workouts at home! It's so much fun to share that time together.

For real, I sometimes feel like people use age as an excuse. I'm 27 and had my own struggles with injuries, but pushing through them has only made me stronger. If you want it, you can get there!

Ngl, I'm kinda tired of hearing people blame their age for not working out. Like, sure, I get it, but if you're consistent and willing to push through, you can surprise yourself! Got any tips on building a good routine?

Great question! One strategy is to focus on small, achievable goals at first, rather than comparing yourself to others. I also recommend finding a supportive gym community, it really helps boost confidence and progress.

I just graduated and started lifting recently. It's so cool to see older people like you hitting PRs! It motivates me to keep going and not to let age hold me back either.

You're making me want to get back to lifting consistently! I've been slacking lately, but seeing others crush their goals is a major motivator. Any advice on overcoming gym anxiety?
