**TL;DR:** Gained 60 lbs over 3 years; seeking advice on maintaining balance and mindfulness during body changes.

Hi, friends. I've been on a journey where I've gained 60 pounds over the last three years, and I find myself reflecting on how this change impacts my practice as a yoga instructor. I focus on mindfulness and balance, yet I feel disconnected from my body at times. It's been challenging to reconcile these changes with my love for yoga.

I've attached some progress photos to share my physical transformation. While I've embraced my body at every stage, I wonder if anyone has experienced similar shifts and how you maintained balance mentally and spiritually during your journey. How did you find peace with your evolving self?

Thank you for sharing your experiences.

Finding peace with your evolving self is such a personal journey. Tracking what you eat can be helpful, but it shouldn't feel like a punishment. Apps like Cronometer can help you see nutrients, not just calories, while allowing you to explore how foods make you feel. Have you considered intuitive eating? It might help you reconnect with your body without the stress of strict tracking.

Yoga is about embracing where you are in the moment, so take this opportunity to deepen your practice by exploring different styles or focusing on breathwork. Allow yourself to find joy in the movements, rather than just the outcome
