**TL;DR:** 3 months into strength training, down 10 lbs, but still no ab definition. When can I expect to see results?

I've been doing strength training for about 3 months now, focusing on a plant-based diet and hitting my lifts hard. I'm currently at 175 lbs, down from 185, and while my overall muscle gain is solid, I'm not seeing the ab definition I was hoping for. I've been doing a mix of compound lifts and some core work, but no noticeable changes yet. Anyone else felt this way? How long did it take for you to see some ab gains? I'm getting a bit impatient over here!

You might be overlooking how much fiber you need too. A good fiber intake helps with digestion and overall health, which can aid fat loss. Keep that in check, and you may notice more definition as you drop some weight.

Facts! Took me about 4 months to see my abs really pop. I was all about the lifts too, but tracking my macros made a huge difference! Try using MyFitnessPal or something similar.

Bro, don't stress too much. You just gotta keep grinding! Mixing compound lifts with core work is solid, but don't forget about your diet. Hitting protein goals is huge for muscle retention and fat loss.

Dude, 3 months isn't long enough for most people to see ab definition, especially with a plant-based diet. Muscle gain is great, but the body fat percentage has to drop for abs to show. Focus on a slight caloric deficit and keep pushing those lifts. Don't get discouraged, you'll get there!

This is so true! Abs are made in the kitchen, not just the gym. Even with a plant-based diet, make sure you're eating enough protein and healthy fats. If you're focusing on endurance as well, keep in mind that carbs are essential for recovery too. Just find a good balance and keep at it.

I've been lifting for about 5 years, and I can tell you, patience is key. When I started, I thought I'd see abs in a couple of months too. But it really took longer for me to lose the fat over my abs. Make sure you're doing a mix of strength and some cardio, it helps a lot.

For real, cardio can help reveal those abs. I switched up my routine and added some HIIT sessions, and I saw results fast. Might be worth trying something new if you're feeling stuck.

Im lowkey with you on this, abs are such a pain! I thought I'd see them way earlier too. Just keep in mind everyone's different, so focus on feeling strong rather than just the aesthetics. It's a journey, not a race.

Lmao, just lift heavier at night. You'll be swole before you know it! But really, focus on recovery too. Sleep and stress can make a huge difference in seeing those gains.

Tracking macros is honestly a game changer. I used Cronometer to see what I was really eating, and it opened my eyes. You might be surprised how your intake shapes up when you actually see the numbers.
