**TL;DR:** Lost 33 pounds in 11 months, need tips on maintaining my progress.

I've lost 33 pounds over the last 11 months, going from 175 to 142 pounds. I've been consistent with my diet and exercise, focusing on strength training and a balanced diet. I've cut down on processed foods and added more fiber-rich options, which has really helped with satiety.

I'm concerned about maintaining my progress now. I've heard that adjusting my calorie intake or macronutrient ratios might be necessary as I get closer to my goal weight. What strategies have worked for you in terms of maintaining weight loss? Should I change my approach to fiber intake?

Also, I'd love to hear how others manage to stay motivated during this phase.

I hear you about motivation! I often work out with my kids, which makes it fun. We do family-friendly workouts together, and it keeps me accountable. Have you tried making fitness a family affair?

No offense, but cardio is way better than lifting for weight loss. I just don't see the point of pumping iron when you can get a killer sweat with HIIT. Just my two cents!

Listen, cardio is a must if you want to keep that weight off. Incorporate more steady-state cardio sessions, like running or cycling. Those HIIT workouts are cool, but a good long run really helps with weight maintenance

This is facts! It's all about lifting heavy, fam. Add some compound lifts to your routine if you haven't already. Deadlifts and squats are life.

Don't forget that weight maintenance is a gradual process. Adjusting your calorie intake slowly can help. If you're tracking, make changes every couple of weeks instead of jumping straight into a new plan

Love that you're focusing on health! And remember, weight can fluctuate. Don't let the scale dictate your mood. Focus on how you feel and how your clothes fit. That's what truly matters.

I know how hard it is to maintain weight loss. I went through the same thing after losing 40 pounds. I started meal prepping for the week, which helped me stick to healthier choices without thinking too much about it. Do you meal prep?

Adjusting your calorie intake is definitely a good move as you get closer to your goal weight. Lowering your calories gradually can help maintain your progress without feeling deprived. As for fiber, keep including those whole grains, fruits, and veggies. They will keep you feeling full and help with digestion. Remember to monitor how your body feels too, sometimes what works for others may not work for you.

Running has been my saving grace for maintaining my weight loss. The mental clarity from long runs helps keep me motivated. Have you ever considered a fun run or a race? That could be a great goal!

100% agree with sneaky_fiber, but also don't forget to keep your strength training on point! Ngl, I hit a wall at 150, but switching to a PPL routine with progressive overload helped me shed those last few pounds. And remember, motivation can dip. Try setting mini-goals, like lifting heavier or hitting a certain rep range. That keeps it fun and engaging, rather than just focusing on the scale.

I totally get the cardio love, but lifting has its place too. Strength training boosts your metabolism and can help with maintaining muscle mass. Balance is key, right?

Totally! And it's fun to mix things up with kettlebells. I do a few rounds of swings, snatches, and goblet squats, then follow up with some cardio. It keeps my heart rate up and workouts exciting.
