**TL;DR:** In cycle 5 of cutting/bulking, down 8 lbs, seeing muscle definition. Should I adjust my approach?

Hi all! I'm in the middle of my fifth cycle of cutting and bulking, and I'm starting to see some real definition in my muscles! 😍 I'm currently at 145 lbs and have lost about 8 lbs since the beginning of this cycle, which has been about 12 weeks now. My lifts have been feeling strong too, last week I hit a new PR on my kettlebell swings at 24 kg for 15 reps!

I've been focusing on a high-protein diet, with around 140g of protein a day, and I'm following a 5/3/1 program. I usually do a four-day split with kettlebells, and I've added in some HIIT to keep the fat loss going. I've noticed my waist is looking a bit tighter, and my arms are really starting to pop!

I'm feeling good about where I'm at, but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything. Should I continue with this setup for the next few weeks, or make any tweaks? What do you all think? Would love to hear your thoughts on transitioning between cutting and bulking cycles.

Thanks for your input!

Solid approach! Just keep an eye on your recovery times with that high-intensity work. As an endurance athlete, I've learned that rest is just as crucial as the workout itself.

Transitioning between cutting and bulking can be tricky, but listening to your body is essential. Maybe try some mindfulness practices or yoga to balance your routine. It could help with recovery too!

I just started lifting and I feel kinda lost. Should I follow ur program? Is it too advanced for a newbie like me? Asking for a friend... 😂

Yasss, love to see the muscle definition coming through! You might want to consider incorporating some more balanced meals if you're feeling too restrictive. That way, you can keep the energy up while cutting!

Nice work, but 140g protein for 145 lbs? I'd bump that up a bit, especially if you're lifting heavy. Keep your macros in check! What's your favorite high-protein snack right now?

Honestly, I don't get why people bother with lifting while cutting. I just run and eat carbs. 😅 But if it works for you, keep at it! Just don't forget to enjoy the process.

You're doing great! As a busy mom, I've learned the importance of meal prep. Consider planning your meals in advance to stick to that protein goal. It saves time and keeps me on track!

You're hitting PRs while cutting? That's impressive! I've always found cardio to be key in any cutting phase, so keep that HIIT going strong. It really helps in burning those stubborn calories.

Kettlebells are awesome for both strength and conditioning! i like to add a few reps of goblet squats in my routine to really feel the burn. You're killing it with those swings!

This! Just because you're cutting doesn't mean u can't still crush leg day. 😏 I say keep pushing the weight and stay motivated. Maybe throw in some calf raises for that extra pump.
