I started a cut about 8 weeks ago to get leaner for fall, but I'm feeling frustrated with my progress. I've been hitting the gym hard, doing strength training with my plant-based diet, but my photos don't seem to reflect the effort. My weight has dropped from 185 to 175, but my body composition looks kinda stagnant. What am I missing here? Anyone else in the same boat with their reset? Looking for tips or motivation!

For tracking, I switched to Nutrola, and the photo logging feature is a lifesaver for me. I can log my meals super quick, which is huge when I'm busy. Just snap a pic and I'm done!

Idk, I'll stick with MFP for now. I've got my food list dialed in, and switching to something else sounds like a hassle. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I understand the frustration with progress photos. Back in my day, we just had to trust the process and enjoy what we ate. Don't lose sight of the journey, it's not always about the end results. Keep pushing through!

Ugh, this reminds me of my own struggles! I was frustrated with my weight too. Have you thought about switching apps? I'm using Cronometer for its micro-nutrient tracking. I like seeing the full picture.

i totally understand where you're coming from. I started a cut last fall and felt like I was in a plateau. Have you tried changing up your workout routine? Sometimes a fresh approach can spark progress. Also, don't forget the importance of staying hydrated!

Bro, I get you! Photos can be misleading. Just remember that muscle weighs more than fat. If you're hitting the gym hard, those gains might be coming in! Also, it doesn't hurt to change up your cardio routine.

I've seen some people try those AI photo loggers, but honestly, they were kind of a letdown for me. I prefer being hands-on with my tracking. Plus, the accuracy can be all over the place with those.

i get that struggle, especially on a plant-based diet. Sometimes it feels like you're doing everything right but not seeing it on the outside. Make sure you're getting enough protein and those healthy fats, too. They're crucial for muscle recovery.

Ngl, I think being plant-based can make tracking a bit tricky since you gotta balance protein sources. Have you thought about incorporating more legumes and quinoa? They're awesome for that! Plus, they keep meals interesting.

100% with you on this! Sometimes we just need to switch it up. I'm all for trying new things, even if it's just a new app or meal prep routine. Just keep pushing and don't let a plateau get you down!

Oh, I'm a Nutrola fan too! I like that it has no ads in the free tier, which is great for when I'm just trying to log quickly without distractions

Honestly, I think calorie tracking can be a pain. I've been there, tracking every single thing. You might want to check if you're tracking accurately or if you're missing hidden calories, like oils or dressings. Small things add up!

For real, hydration is key! I've had days where I thought I was eating enough but was actually dehydrated. Maybe look into electrolytes too. They help with recovery and can improve your workout performance.

If you're feeling stuck, maybe try meal prepping or planning your meals ahead of time. Having everything ready can help stick to your calorie goals. Sometimes the little changes make a huge difference.

It's all about that muscle memory, man! The scale isn't everything. Have you considered taking measurements or doing body fat tests instead of just photos? Sometimes the scale doesn't reflect all the gains and losses we're working on.

Right? The effort can sometimes feel invisible, but just remember it all adds up. It might be a slow process, but consistency is key. Keep it fresh with some fun recipes!
