**TL;DR:** Hit a 405 deadlift PR post-heart attack recovery, down 15 lbs on a cut. Need advice on balancing cutting with lifting.

Just hit my first PR since my heart attack recovery, deadlifting 405 for a double after 4 months off. I'm also on a cut, down 15 lbs over 8 weeks, but I'm wondering if it's impacting my gains. My lifts feel solid, but I've noticed some fatigue creeping in. Anyone else been through this? How do you balance recovery and cutting while still hitting those goals? Here's a pic of my progress! 💪

Deadlifting 405 after a health scare is impressive. Be mindful of your RPE during the cut; it can impact recovery. If you're hitting fatigue, consider a deload week or two. Keep focusing on your form and technique while pushing for strength.

It's great to hear you're hitting PRs post-recovery! Cutting can sometimes impact your energy levels, especially if you're not getting enough calories or protein. Make sure you're tracking your macros and adjusting as needed. Consider adding in more nutrient-dense foods to help combat fatigue while cutting.

Man, caffeine can be a lifesaver during cuts! Just don't overdo it. I find a pre-workout helps me push through the fatigue. You still lifting in the mornings?

I can relate! After I had my surgery, I had to ease back into lifting. It took me a while to figure out the right balance. Just make sure you're staying hydrated and getting enough nutrients. Sometimes the body just needs a little more TLC.

This whole journey is so inspiring! Remember, it's okay to adjust your goals based on how you're feeling. Sometimes, lifting lighter and focusing on form is just as important as hitting PRs.

100! That's a crazy PR! I'm just getting into lifting but I can only imagine how hard that must've been for you

Congrats on the progress! Cutting is tough, especially while trying to recover. I found that incorporating more veggies into my meals helped with satiety while keeping calories low. Have you tried any new recipes on your cut?

Bro, you might be feeling fatigue because of the cut! When I started cutting, I had to tweak my training to avoid feeling drained. Maybe reduce your volume or add more rest days if you need to.

You don't have to be super strict on the cut! Just track your meals loosely. I usually just eyeball my portions and it works for me. Keeping it simple helps!

If u're cutting and feeling drained, you might want to check ur calorie deficit. Too big of a cut can mess with your energy for lifting. Just my two cents!

Ngl, I'm all about the keto life, but if you're cutting, just watch those macros. Make sure you're still getting enough protein for recovery. That's what helps me a lot!

Dude, 405 for a double is sick! After a heart attack, that's next level. Cutting while lifting is a balancing act, but listen to your body. You got this!

That's a serious lift! I can't imagine how that feels after what you went through. Keep pushing, and don't hesitate to adjust your cut if you need a break!

Take care of yourself, man. After a heart attack, don't rush back into heavy lifts while cutting. Maybe even a slight surplus for a while could be beneficial for recovery. It's all about finding what works best for your body.

i really admire your determination! After my health scare, I found it hard to balance everything too. It's important to prioritize self-care. Listen to your body when it asks for rest, and don't be afraid to adjust your goals as needed. Recovery is a process, not a race.

You should definitely listen to your body. My friend cut while lifting, and he ended up burned out. Maybe try mixing in some lighter workouts with your lifting to help with recovery.

Honestly, cutting while recovering can be a rough combo. You might find more success focusing on maintenance for a bit. Cardio is great, but don't let it take away from your strength work. Balance is key!

If fatigue is creeping in, maybe look into incorporating some BCAAs or creatine to support recovery during your cut. They can be really helpful to keep your energy levels up

I just started lifting and feel exhausted too. Is cutting normal for people who lift? I thought it was just about gaining muscle.
