I've been carb cycling for about 60 days now and I'm really curious about how it affects my lift performance depending on the day type. I've noticed my strength seems to peak on high-carb days, especially for my deadlifts, which is my main focus. On low-carb days, I feel like I struggle a bit but I've heard it's normal.

For context, my split is a 4-day PPL routine, and I align my carbs with my heavy lifting days. I'm averaging around 450g on high days and dropping to 150g on low days. I'm just trying to get the most out of this cycle. Anyone have insights on how to maximize performance while carb cycling? What should I be expecting as I continue? Let's hear your experiences!

Carb cycling is kinda overrated, man. If you just eat whole foods and track your intake, you could see solid gains without complicating things. Just saying.

This is lowkey how I feel about low-carb days. Just wanna eat some rice and chill. But I get it, the struggle is real. Gotta push through those tough days to reap the benefits later!

I know how you feel about those low-carb days. I sometimes adjust my lifting schedule to work around my energy levels. It might be worth experimenting a bit with your training volume on those days.

Yep, carb cycling is dope but it can be tricky. Don't forget to enjoy your food, man! I mean, who doesn't love a good pizza after a heavy deadlift day? Just balance it out.

You're on the right track with your carb cycling, aligning carbs with heavy days is smart. I did a similar thing last year and my deadlift shot up by 20 pounds during my high-carb days. Just keep in mind, your low-carb days might feel rough but it's part of the cycle.

I've been carb cycling too and noticed my performance aligns with my carb intake. Low-carb days can suck but I've learned to manage energy better. If you can, try to time your protein intake with those high-carb meals too.

Facts, my deadlift feels stronger on high-carb days as well. I usually hit a new PR after a good carb load. Just keep your form tight and stay focused on the lift, you got this!

Totally agree with the high-carb benefits, especially for performance. On low-carb days, make sure you're getting enough fiber and hydration to keep your body functioning well. A lot of people overlook those basics!

I can share a quick recipe for a good pre-workout meal on high-carb days! Try oatmeal with some banana and a scoop of protein. It gives you a great energy boost and keeps you fueled for those big lifts.
