**TL;DR:** I have 80lbs of frozen chicken and need tips on macros, prep, and storage!

So, I went a little crazy at Costco and now I have 80 pounds of frozen chicken in my freezer! 😱 I know chicken is great for hitting protein goals, but I'm feeling kinda overwhelmed. What's the best way to manage this without it going to waste?

Also, I'm trying to track my macros more accurately, but like, how do I calculate my protein intake with all this chicken? I mean, should I prep it all at once or do smaller batches? And what about storage? Should I vacuum seal or just use zip bags? So many questions! Anyone else dealt with this kinda situation? What did you do?

Thanks, y'all!

How about you make a chicken pizza? Get some dough, sauce, and throw that chicken on top. 🤤 And just track it! Protein for days!

Honestly, this is a classic case of 'I bought too much chicken' syndrome. But it's cool, just make a massive cookout. Just avoid the dark humor when you're cooking, don't want to chicken out halfway! 😅

You can cook a ton of it at once and just weigh out your portions later. I usually do that for my meal prep days. I swear it saves so much time. Plus, you can store them in tupperware for easy access during the week.

You could also try grilling a bunch and then shredding it for easy use later. Shredded chicken is so versatile! Plus, it can stretch your meals even further.

Oh wow, 80 lbs of chicken is a whole lot! 😱 I would recommend breaking it down into smaller portions before you freeze it. I usually do around 1-2 lbs per bag. That way, you can easily grab a portion when you need it. Plus, it helps keep the chicken fresh and tasty! You can even try different marinades for variety. Chicken tacos, stir-fries, and salads are so versatile!

Facts! If you're tracking macros, make sure to weigh your cooked chicken. I used to just eyeball it, but then I realized I was way off. A good rule of thumb is about 31 grams of protein per 100 grams of cooked chicken. If u prep it all at once, just divide your total weight by the portion size to simplify tracking.

Honestly, I feel you. I had a similar situation last year with a bulk buy. I suggest cooking a large batch and then storing it in the fridge for the week. As for tracking, I usually weigh it cooked. A typical serving of cooked chicken (about 4 oz) has around 30g protein. Just keep a food scale handy and you'll be golden.

Chicken tacos are a lifesaver when you have a lot of chicken. I just add some salsa and guac and it feels like a whole new meal! Keeps the excitement alive.

Wow, that's quite a haul! You can definitely hit those protein goals with all that chicken. Just remember to season it well, otherwise it can get boring pretty fast. I like to roast mine with veggies for a one-pan meal. Super easy and healthy!

I get it, macros can be a pain! But honestly, just enjoy the chicken. It's such a versatile protein! I usually just cook some up with veggies and call it a day. Tracking is cool, but don't stress too hard about it. Just have fun with the cooking process! Also, leftovers are life

Wow, that's a lot of protein! I usually cook my chicken in the air fryer. It's quick and super juicy. If you're tracking, remember to count it post-cooked, as it loses some weight from water. I love adding spices to change up the flavor.

Not to be a downer, but you might hit chicken fatigue really fast if you eat it every day. I've been there. Sometimes I have to force myself to eat it and it feels like a chore. Mix it up with some other protein sources like beans or eggs. Keep it interesting.

Just a heads up, be mindful of ur portions when tracking! I messed up my macros big time thinking I was hitting my protein goals with chicken alone. Balance it with carbs and fats, too.

80 lbs? Bro, that's a skill issue! 😂 But fr, batch cooking is key. Just throw it all on a grill or in the oven. Also, tracking chicken macros is easy, just keep an app handy. I'd suggest MFP. Works like a charm!

For real though, if you're tracking macros, portion sizes matter. I use Cronometer because I like the nutrient breakdown it gives. If you decide to batch cook, just measure how much protein is in each portion after cooking. Helps keep you on track.

Seriously, don't let that chicken go to waste. Cook it all, but don't force yourself to eat it daily. Mix it up with some sides to avoid burnout. You might end up resenting chicken and that's not the goal.

Dude, just roast it all at once and get that protein in! You can throw it in a big pan with some seasoning and bake it. After that, just make a bunch of different meals with it. Chicken and rice, chicken salad, or throw it on some pizza. Like, who doesn't love chicken pizza?!

I totally get the overwhelmed feeling! If you can, get a gym buddy to help you prep it. Cooking together can be fun, plus you'll both benefit from the meal prep! Just make sure to label everything with dates so you know what's what.

Omg, 80 pounds of chicken? That's insane but also awesome! 😂 You could batch cook it all at once if you have the time. Just grill or bake a ton, then portion it out into individual servings! I like to mix it up with different spices or marinades to keep it interesting. You could do a lemon herb one day and BBQ another. Just be sure to keep track of what you use for your macros!

Bro, just vacuum seal that chicken. Zip bags are cool, but vacuum sealing keeps it fresh longer. Also, if you're gonna cook it all at once, throw some seasoning on there, make it a flavor party! I once had a chicken meal prep that tasted like a dry shoe because I didn't season it. Never again, lol.

Honestly, with all that chicken, you could even try making a big batch of chicken soup or curry. Those meals freeze well too! Also, if you're tracking macros, try using an app like MacroFactor or MFP. They make it super easy to log and adjust your meals.

- **lightweightsfordays** (score 1, 2026-05-02T03:53:03.844+00:00)
I love a good meal prep session! Just think of all the tasty meals you can make. You could do chicken stir-fry, grilled chicken wraps, or even throw it on a salad. And about storage, I find vacuum sealing helps keep it fresher longer than zip bags. Try it out!

Tracking macros is overrated. Just eat intuitively and you'll be fine. If you want chicken, eat chicken, but don't stress over the numbers.

Chicken overload is a real struggle. I once had a similar situation and ended up in a chicken-induced existential crisis. On one hand, I was hitting my protein goals, but on the other, I was getting real tired of chicken. Maybe try different cooking methods like stir-frying or making soups? Just avoid the monotony. It's a marathon, not a sprint.
