**TL;DR:** Ate at maintenance for 3 months, feeling great with body comp and lifts. Anyone else tried this?

So, I decided to eat at maintenance for a solid 3 months to see what would happen, and honestly, im kinda surprised at how chill my body and mind are right now. I was expecting to feel like I was slacking or something, but instead, my lifts are still solid, and my energy is up! I thought maintenance meant no progress, but it feels more like a time for my body to stabilize and adapt.

I've been focusing on whole foods, hitting my protein goals (aiming for 1.6g/kg), and keeping my meals balanced with carbs and fats. My meal preps are super simple, lots of beans, lentils, quinoa, and tons of veggies. Nutrient timing hasn't been strict either, just keeping it real and eating when I'm hungry, which is refreshing!

Has anyone else tried this kind of maintenance phase? What's your experience been like? I'm lowkey thinking about sticking to this for a while longer if it keeps feeling this good.

Omg, I love your meal preps! Beans and quinoa are the perfect combo. I recently tried a recipe where I made quinoa bowls with roasted veggies and tahini dressing, and it was to die for. Have you thought about adding any new spices or sauces to mix things up?

Based. Lifting at maintenance is often overlooked. I pulled a 405 deadlift at maintenance once and was like, 'What even is a deficit?' Sometimes just letting your body chill can lead to some sick progress.

This is awesome! Eating at maintenance can be so underrated. I did a similar thing last year, focusing on whole foods like lentils and sweet potatoes. My lifts actually improved while my body composition stabilized, which was a nice surprise!

i really feel you on this. I've been on a maintenance phase due to my chronic illness, and it's been refreshing. Focusing on nutrient-dense foods has helped with energy levels and recovery. Intuitive eating can feel scary, but it can also be liberating!

Facts. I remember when I took a maintenance break while juggling the kids and lifting. I thought I was slacking too, but I actually ended up feeling stronger and more balanced. Sometimes life needs to take priority!

This slaps! But like, are you sure it's not just beginner gains? I mean, maintenance can feel good, but don't be surprised if your body hits a plateau soon. Just keep squatting and eating cake, I guess.
