So, I'm a 30M ICU nurse and I've been lifting for about 5 years, but these 12-hour shifts are wrecking my macro game! I'm a carb enthusiast, and it's tough to find time to hit my targets with no solid eating schedule. Any tips on how to manage macros during long shifts without feeling like I'm just eating junk? How do you guys time your meals with all that chaos? Help a bro out!

If you're lifting, protein matters too! I recommend carrying protein bars or shakes for quick hits. Fairlife milk is a solid option, tons of protein and easy to digest on the go.

Being an ICU nurse is no joke! i do bodyweight workouts, but I pack snacks that are high in carbs and protein. Think energy bars or Greek yogurt. They keep me feeling full and energized.

Ain't no way you can keep track of everything during a shift! Just do your best, but don't stress about hitting every macro perfectly. You're working hard, give yourself some slack.

If you're in a cutting phase, this can feel extra tough. Focus on higher-volume, lower-calorie foods like fruits and veggies. They fill you up without wrecking your macro targets

I used to struggle too. I found that batch cooking on my days off really helped, especially with carb-heavy meals. It keeps me on track and I don't have to think about food during the chaos of a shift.

Real talk, nursing is tough! But you don't have to eat junk just because you're busy. Pack some homemade burritos or pasta salad. It's quick to eat and way healthier than random vending machine snacks.

Tracking macros can be a pain during shifts. I swear by MyFitnessPal for logging meals quickly. You can scan barcodes and it saves time, but if you want something more tailored, MacroFactor is pretty solid too.

Can we talk about pizza? If you can sneak some slices in a lunch box, you'll crush those carbs and it's delicious! Just watch the toppings, keep it balanced, lol.

Packing meals is essential, but i also prioritize snacks that can be eaten one-handed. Think trail mix or protein bars. It makes a huge difference when you have a packed schedule.

Dude, I get it! When I was working those long shifts, I prepped high-carb snacks like rice cakes with nut butter or granola bars. Super easy to grab between patients and fills the carb love.

Honestly, just pack some rice and chicken, maybe a bag of chips. You can always find time to munch, even in chaos. Plus, carbs are your friend during those shifts, my dude. Just make sure it's not all junk, haha.

12-hour shifts are a whole different animal. I find meal timing can be tricky. I usually eat something carb-heavy before a shift to give me energy and then snack on some fruit or nuts during. Helps me not feel like I'm crashing.

Honestly, it's about what works for you. I'm all about those meat and potato meals. Keep it simple and hearty. If you have a solid meal, you'll feel way better during those long hours.

The struggle is real, bro! I'd say just be flexible with ur tracking. Sometimes I just estimate and move on. If you're making good choices, you'll be fine. Just keep lifting!

For powerlifters, it's all about those performance metrics. Make sure you're not just focused on macros, but also how you feel during lifts. Energy management is key!
