**TL;DR:** Lost 10 lbs in 5 weeks and hit a deadlift PR while cutting.

I'm currently down 10 lbs (4.5 kg) in 5 weeks while keeping my lifts strong. I'm maintaining a 500 kcal deficit daily and sticking to my heavy lifting routine. Last week I hit a 1RM PR on deadlifts at 405 lbs (183 kg), and my energy levels are surprisingly good. I'm focusing on hunger management with protein-rich foods and planned refeeds every 10 days. Anyone else experiencing solid lifts while cutting?

Solid progress! Sticking to a 500 kcal deficit while hitting PRs is impressive. Just be sure you're managing recovery as you cut, those lifts need your full strength.

100! Caffeine can really help with energy levels while cutting. I usually sip on a strong coffee before my workouts, it makes a huge difference. Just don't overdo it, or you might be bouncing off the walls!

Honestly, if you're hitting those lifts while cutting, you might be one of the lucky ones! Some people just can't keep their strength, but I've seen it go both ways. Just be cautious about overtraining, especially with a calorie deficit.

I'm really happy to hear that your energy levels are good! When I was cutting, I focused on hydration too. Sometimes just staying well-hydrated helps manage hunger and boosts performance.

If you're hitting PRs while in a deficit, that's something to be proud of! But make sure you're tracking your macros. It's easy to overlook protein intake when you're focusing on calories.

Based! I love seeing people hit their goals. Remember, every lift counts, even if it's just a small increase. Keep pushing and stay motivated! We're all rooting for you.

I get it! Cutting can feel brutal sometimes, but hitting PRs is an awesome motivator. I've seen progress with bodyweight exercises during cuts too. Have you tried incorporating some calisthenics for variety?
