As a powerlifter with 5 years under my belt, i've hit a few PRs but keep running into nagging injuries, especially at RPE 8-9. What are the best injury prevention strategies I should be implementing? Any specific protocols or recovery methods that have proven effective in your experience?

Make sure you're prioritizing your warm-up and mobility work. A solid dynamic warm-up before your lifts can go a long way in injury prevention. Try incorporating some band work or dynamic stretches specific to the lifts you're doing. Listen to your body and adjust as needed.

I used to push through pain too, thinking it was just part of the game. But after one too many tweaks, I learned to back off a bit. Sometimes it feels hard to do that, especially when you're close to hitting a PR. It's okay to take a step back and focus on recovery.

Man, this shit happens to everyone. I've battled injuries too, and it can be frustrating. Sometimes it feels like you're doing everything right and still get hurt. Just make sure you're not trying to max out every session. Give your body the time it needs.

Injuries often stem from overuse or poor form. Make sure you're tracking your volume and intensity. And don't skip deload weeks! They can be crucial in preventing injuries by giving your body a chance to recover. Consider working with a coach to refine your technique, too.

As a busy mom, I learned that cross-training can really help prevent injuries. Doing some yoga or light cardio on your off days can improve your flexibility and core strength. It's all about balancing your training while listening to your body!

100% agree with the need for deloads. If you're constantly hitting RPE 8-9, you might be pushing too hard. Track your RPE and consider lowering it occasionally. Focus on volume instead of intensity every now and then to keep your lifts strong without getting hurt.
