**TL;DR:** Looking for fueling tips for a 90 min run on a cut.

So, i'm on a cut and I have a 90 min run coming up. I usually rely on my whey protein shakes and a banana for quick carbs, but I'm not sure if that's enough to keep me fueled without feeling like a total slug halfway through. Anyone have go-to snacks or meals that won't break the calorie bank but still give you the energy boost you need? Also, is it a bad idea to sip on some electrolytes while I'm at it? Need some advice before I hit the pavement and turn into a hangry mess out there! 😂

TL;DR: Cutting and running 90 mins, what snacks or meals do you recommend that won't sabotage my cut?

Also, meme for motivation: "When you realize you ran out of snacks before the run starts..."

I'm a broke college student, so I feel you on keeping costs low! When I run, I usually just grab some toast with a bit of jam or honey. It's cheap, and you'll have enough energy to get through that run without breaking the calorie bank.

Cutting doesn't mean you need to starve yourself before a run. Honestly, some peanut butter on rice cakes or a slice of whole-grain bread can help keep your energy levels up without too many calories. Just listen to your body and don't push it if you're feeling weak!

Honestly, a banana and whey shake sounds like a solid start, but you might want to add something like a small piece of toast with peanut butter for some healthy fats and carbs. I like to have that combo before longer runs. It won't break the bank calorie-wise and helps keep me from feeling like a zombie halfway through. Also, sipping electrolytes is a good call, especially if it's hot out!

i used to just do protein and a banana too, but then i realized that's like running on empty. Try adding some cottage cheese or Greek yogurt with fruit; it's filling and won't mess up your cut. Plus, you can whip that up fast.

As a dad, I've made plenty of snack mistakes! One time, I thought a granola bar would be enough before a run and ended up feeling like a sluggish tortoise. Now, I like to do a banana and maybe some pretzels for salt. Just don't overthink it too much!

Totally feel you! I often go for a small bowl of oatmeal with a drizzle of honey before my longer runs. It gives me that sustained energy without feeling heavy. Just make sure to hydrate properly with your electrolytes. You'll crush it out there!

And if you do feel weak, just remember: it's not the end of the world. Even a dad like me can have off days! It's all part of the journey, so keep smiling and running!

Ayo, sipping on electrolytes is not a bad idea. Just don't go overboard, or you'll feel like a balloon. 😂 Also, you could look into something like Gatorade Zero if you want flavor without the calories.

Honestly, if you're in a pinch, just keep it simple with some electrolyte powder in your water. Just don't let it turn into a science experiment with crazy flavors. Stick to what works, and you'll do just fine!

A banana and whey? Boring! Lmao, try some rice cakes with nut butter or even an energy gel. Those are super light and pack a punch! Just don't choke on the gel while u're running.

Why not just skip the run and watch Netflix instead? 😂 But seriously, I guess u could do some sweet potatoes beforehand. They're pretty filling and will keep you from feeling like you're dragging. Just don't go overboard!

Man, if you're trying to run on just a banana and some protein, good luck. That's like trying to drive a car on fumes. A little more carb action wouldn't hurt. It's not a crime to snack while cutting.
