**TL;DR:** Garmin's HR zones don't match my manual calc, who's right?

So, I've been using my Garmin to track my heart rate zones while running, and honestly, I'm a bit confused. My manual calculations for max HR put me in different zones compared to what the watch shows. I mean, I thought tech was supposed to make things easier, right? 🤷‍♀️

Anyone else had this issue? Do you trust your watch, or do you stick with the manual method? Sometimes I wonder if my Garmin just doesn't vibe with me like my bicep curls do. Would love to hear your experiences!

I had a similar issue! I felt like my Garmin was giving me a false sense of security. After some testing, my manual calc was way more accurate. Stick with what feels right for you!

If your watch is making you feel like you're sprinting when you're really just cruising, that's a skill issue. I once ran 5 miles only to realize I'd been in the wrong HR zone the whole time. Pizza was my reward for that chaos.

My Garmin was super off too, like it thought I was having a heart attack when I was just jogging to grab a low-carb snack! 😂 I switched to the manual calc and feel way better about my zones.

Honestly, I wouldn't stress too much about the numbers. Sometimes your body tells you what you need more than any gadget can. I just run and enjoy the views. If I'm sweating, I'm doing something right. Plus, weekend hikes are where it's at.

i always find it funny when tech fails. Like, is my Garmin training me or judging me? Lol. I've had days when my HR looked like a rollercoaster, and I just had to laugh it off.

I used to trust my Garmin too, but then I did my own max HR test and it was way higher than what the watch calculated. Now I stick with my manual method. Gotta listen to my body, right?

Cardio's already painful, and now we gotta worry about tech not getting it right? That's rough, dude. Just run at a pace that feels good, and let the HR zones be what they are.

i feel u! I can't afford to mess up my HR zones with an expensive watch! Gotta stick with manual calc, at least until I can buy a better option. College budget life is real.

What did the treadmill say to the runner? 'You're really getting into the zone!' But fr, your max HR can be different based on how hard you push yourself. I'd trust your own calc over the watch sometimes.
