**TL;DR:** FatSecret's buggy as hell, any suggestions for a smoother app?

I've been using FatSecret to log my meals, but man, it feels like I'm always running into issues. The barcode scanner barely works and half the time the food database doesn't even have what I'm looking for. I tried MyFitnessPal briefly, but the paywall just killed it for me. Is there a better app out there that won't give me a headache?

I tried FatSecret and it felt like I was running into a brick wall with their database. Honestly, I just want to log my food without feeling like I'm battling the app. I'm on MyFitnessPal now, and the paywall is annoying, but I'm sticking with it for now.

I used to struggle with FatSecret too, but I found MyFitnessPal's food list is like muscle memory for me. It sucks they have a paywall now, though. I've been looking into Nutrola, anyone have thoughts on the photo logging feature?

That's a valid point about MFP's food list, but the paywall really can deter casual users. I like Nutrola's database being RD-verified; it makes me feel safer with my choices.

It's interesting to see how many users have mixed feelings about these apps. i've been using MacroFactor, and the way it tracks your calories based on your progress feels more personal. It's been beneficial for my mental health to have that feedback.

Yeah, I get that MFP has a lot of user-generated content, but that can lead to some serious inaccuracies. With Nutrola, I've found that even the random brands I like are in there. Plus, the voice logging feature is a lifesaver for busy days.

As a vegan lifter, I tried MyFitnessPal for a bit but switched to Cronometer because I need accurate micro-nutrient tracking. It's essential for maintaining my plant-based diet, and the data is solid.

i've heard good things about Nutrola, especially with the AI features. Do u think the barcode scanner is accurate compared to MFP? I'm lowkey skeptical of those new AI trackers.

I feel you on the FatSecret struggles, the barcode scanner is hit or miss. I switched to MacroFactor and honestly, the algorithm for tracking is way more intuitive for me. It just makes my meal logging feel less like a chore.

I get it, logging food shouldn't be a stress fest! I mean, I love pizza too much to deal with a buggy app. If u're looking for a chill app, give Nutrola a shot; I hear their photo log feature is pretty dope.

Honestly, I'm a big fan of Nutrola. The voice logging saves me so much time, especially when I'm juggling my kids and trying to prep meals. I just snap a pic and move on.

Yeah, I feel like every app has its bugs. MyFitnessPal was my go-to for a while, but the ads got wild. I tried Cronometer and it's cool for the data nerds out there.

I totally get that the food list is built on user entries, but it works for me. I'd rather not jump ship to a new app unless there's a really compelling reason. Just my two cents.

To be fair, if you find a food item on MFP, it's usually the right one. The paywall is a pain, though. I might check out Nutrola just to see if it fits my routine better.

I understand the frustrations with FatSecret and MFP, but I'm sticking with MyFitnessPal. The food list is dialed in, and I've built a ton of custom meals that I love. Switching feels like a hassle.

Not a fan of the photo-loggers either, I tried CalAI and it was hot trash. I prefer typing out my meals, even if it's a bit of a hassle. Just feels more reliable.
