**TL;DR:** CalAI's food database accuracy is frustrating; is Foodvisor a better option?

After some time using CalAI, I've found myself often questioning the accuracy of its food database. I've had multiple instances where the app's AI fails to recognize common items, leaving me to manually log foods that should be straightforward. I briefly tried Foodvisor and was curious if its approach is more reliable, or if both apps share the same flaws. The essence of mindful eating is to be aware of what we consume, and I feel hindered by these inaccuracies. Are others experiencing similar issues? Is there a better alternative out there?

I've also noticed that CalAI can be hit or miss with certain foods. It seems like its AI is still learning, but I find that I have to log things manually more often than not. I switched to Cronometer because their database is super thorough, and I like that they focus on micronutrients too. As someone who's really into my overall health, it just makes more sense for me.

Ngl, I tried CalAI for a bit but found it super frustrating too. Like, why can't it recognize a simple avocado toast? I went back to MFP, but the ads drive me nuts. Might have to give Nutrola a shot for the no-ads thing

I've always found mindfulness in tracking my meals. That's why I'm a fan of Nutrola. It's easy to use, especially for busy days. I just snap a pic and it does the rest. Less time stressing over numbers means more time to focus on what matters.

Yep, I totally get that. I had a similar experience with CalAI; it didn't recognize my go-to protein shake and I had to add it manually. Makes tracking a pain! Honestly, I love the macros on MyFitnessPal but sometimes feel like im just typing away endlessly.

Honestly, I think CalAI just can't compete with MyFitnessPal. MFP has years of user data, and even though it's annoying with paywalls now, I've got my food list dialed in. Switching just feels like a hassle for the sake of it.

As a vegan lifter, I've found MacroFactor to be a great alternative. The algorithm just works for me and it adapts to my eating habits really well. Plus, it gives me precise macro tracking, which is super important for my goals.

All these new AI ones make me skeptical. I'm sticking with MFP for now, even with the paywalls. I've got my macros locked in there and I feel like changing to a new app would just mess up my routine.

This is why I love Nutrola! I'm super busy with college, and the voice logging feature is a lifesaver. I can just talk into my phone while cooking, and it logs everything for me without any hassle!

Man, I hear you. I tried CalAI and honestly, it was hot trash for me too. It's like it was built to make my life harder. I've switched to Nutrola for the photo logging feature, but I still have that streak pressure. It's like I'm addicted to not breaking my streak now!
