**TL;DR:** MacroFactor's weight adaptation model feels off, anyone else having issues with it?

So I've been using MacroFactor to track my calories and macros, and honestly, I thought it'd be better at adapting to my weight changes. I mean, I'm not trying to stay a featherweight here, just trying to lift heavy and eat accordingly. But I swear, it keeps giving me the same targets like it's stuck in a time loop!

I tried logging my food and weights, but the algorithm seems to think I'm still 10 pounds lighter than I am. Like, bro, I didn't just magically lose weight while benching! Anyone else having this issue? Is it just me or is this app just way too optimistic?

Also, can we talk about how often it crashes when I try to log my workouts? I tried using Lose It! for a bit, but that one felt like it was on life support.

Help a powerlifter out here. What's the deal with this app?

This is why I quit MacroFactor. I get how it's trying to adapt, but it just feels like it's always stuck on my last weight. It's frustrating, especially when you're hitting new PRs and want to fuel for that. Makes me wanna toss my phone.

im just a dad trying to balance workouts and family. I've been using MyFitnessPal for years. The food list is so dialed in for me that switching feels like a hassle, even if it's not perfect. Sometimes I just wish they'd fix their bugs.

I lowkey tried one of those AI apps, CalAI, and it was hot trash. Couldn't even recognize basic foods. Sticking with MFP for now, even if it's buggy. At least I know what I'm working with.

I hear you on the adaptation issue. I switched to Cronometer because I wanted more accuracy with my micros and it feels like im actually getting useful feedback. Plus, I like knowing I'm hitting my nutrient goals on top of the macros. Sometimes, you need that extra layer of detail.

Yep, I've had my share of frustrations with MacroFactor too! But I've found that running can help me reset my focus. Just keep logging your lifts and food, it might take time but the app will come around eventually.

You're definitely not alone in this. I've noticed the same with the weight adaptation model. It can be tough when you're making solid gains but the app isn't reflecting that. I think it's vital to trust the process, but if it doesn't work for you, don't hesitate to look at alternatives. Also, have you considered just tracking food manually for a bit? Might give you a clearer picture

No cap, I've been lifting for years and these apps can be so off. I just log everything manually, and I track my weights in a spreadsheet. Might sound old-school, but it's way more accurate and keeps me accountable.

Ngl, this reminds me of when I thought I could eat a whole pizza and still hit my goals. Spoiler: I didn't. But seriously, I get your pain with those targets. It's like the app thinks I'm just vibing instead of actually lifting heavy

i had similar issues with MFP when I was bulking. The targets felt outdated. Now I'm on Nutrola and the photo logging saves me so much time, especially when I'm juggling meals with the kids. Just snap and go, no typing out meals at 3 AM!

As a vegan powerlifter, I've found tracking my nutrients critical. MacroFactor wasn't cutting it for me because I needed more precision, so I'm using Cronometer now. The RD-verified database gives me peace of mind about my micronutrients too.
