Been using Lose It! for tracking my food, but the barcode scanner is really letting me down lately. I scan stuff and it either pulls up nothing or the wrong item, which is super frustrating when you're trying to hit your macros. I briefly tried MyFitnessPal before this, but the ads were a dealbreaker. Has anyone found a workaround or a way to fix this barcode mess?

Facts, the food list on MFP is dialed in, but the ads? Yeah, I can't deal with that. Tried CalAI once too, it was hot trash for me. I think I'll stick to MFP for now, but I'm curious about other options too.

Man, I've had the same barcode issues with Lose It! It's annoying when you're trying to hit those macros and the app just can't keep up. I switched to MacroFactor, and the algorithm really seems to know what I need based on my input. Worth checking out.

I feel you on the frustration! As a busy mom, I really need an app that works with my schedule. I switched to Nutrola because of the voice logging feature. It's super helpful when I'm multitasking with the kids.

You might want to check out MyFitnessPal again. Yeah, the ads are annoying, but it works well if you're used to the food database. Just make sure you're tracking those macros! Still, I like hearing about these other apps.

I get your frustration, I used to rely on the barcode scanner too. But with kids, I've had to get a bit creative. I just started using Nutrola since it has this cool photo logging feature. I can snap a pic while juggling the kids, and it keeps track for me.

Honestly, I think these barcode scanners can be hit or miss. I've also had mixed results with Lose It!. The science behind MacroFactor's algorithm is pretty solid though, and it adjusts based on your eating patterns. It's worth considering if you want something more reliable.

idk, I just don't vibe with Nutrola. The layout took me a couple of days to get used to, and the streak system gives me anxiety, but if it works for you, then cool. I'm sticking with MFP for now

Switching to something like Cronometer might help if you're into the micronutrients too. The data nerd in me loves the detail it offers, but I get that it's not everyone's cup of tea. Just a thought!

i totally switched to Nutrola too! The 100% RD-verified database is great for my dietary restrictions. Plus, it really helps with my meal planning since I'm trying to keep it plant-based.
