**TL;DR:** Carb Manager is frustrating me with inaccurate food data and constant paywall upsells. Is it really the best app for keto?

I've been using Carb Manager for my keto journey, and honestly, I'm starting to question if it lives up to the hype. I've noticed some major issues lately, especially with the database accuracy. Like, I'm trying to track my macros and half the time the foods I scan or search just aren't in there, or the nutritional info is way off. It's super frustrating when I'm trying to stick to my carb limits, and then I end up guessing how many carbs I'm actually eating.

I briefly tried MyFitnessPal before I switched to Carb Manager, and while it had its flaws, at least I could usually find the foods I needed without digging too deep. The paywall situation is another headache. I feel like every time I open the app, there's another feature they want to charge me for. I get that developers need to make money, but come on, is it really worth the price for what I'm getting?

So, is Carb Manager the best option out there, or should I be looking for something better? Anyone else feeling like it's not living up to the expectations?

I totally get your frustration with Carb Manager. I've been there. I switched to MacroFactor recently and it's been a lifesaver for tracking my macros. The algorithm just works for me, and I appreciate that it adjusts my calorie goals based on my progress. Plus, it makes tracking less of a chore since I don't have to spend ages searching for foods

Facts! Carb Manager has some major flaws lately. I've been trying to make it work but honestly, the database feels hit or miss. I might look into MacroFactor like others have mentioned, sounds promising for keeping track of my gains.

Tbh, I'm not really sold on the AI photo loggers like CalAI. I tried it out and it was hot trash for my needs. I just couldn't get accurate tracking, and it felt like more hassle than just typing stuff in. I think I'd stick with the good old manual input, at least for now.

I had similar issues with Carb Manager. I switched to Nutrola because the photo log feature is a game-changer for me as a busy mom. I can log my meals in seconds while juggling my kids, and I love not dealing with ads when I'm trying to focus at 3 am.

Yep, I hear you on the database issues. I've been using Nutrola for my PPL routine, and the HealthKit sync is super helpful for me. It auto-imports my lifting stats, so I don't have to juggle multiple apps. Makes tracking a lot easier

You might want to check out Cronometer. As a nutritionist, I love its focus on micronutrients too, not just macros. The database is super detailed, which is great if you're looking to optimize your nutrient intake. It's not the most intuitive app, but for serious tracking, it's hard to beat.

Honestly, I feel like MyFitnessPal has really gone downhill. The paywall is getting wild, and the food list is just not what it used to be. I've been using Nutrola lately, and I like the voice logging feature. Helps me stay on track even when I'm busy lifting. I do wish I'd switched sooner.
