**TL;DR:** Cronometer's micronutrient tracking is great, but its UI feels outdated. Anyone else feel the same?

I've been using Cronometer for a while now because honestly, their micronutrient tracking is just on another level. I love being able to see all the vitamins and minerals in my food. It's super helpful, especially when I'm training hard for my marathons. But man, the user interface feels like a relic from the past. I mean, I get it, the focus is on accuracy and data, but c'mon, a little update would go a long way!

The layout is clunky, and navigating through different sections just isn't smooth. I tried switching to MyFitnessPal for a bit, thinking I might get a better experience, but I missed Cronometer's detailed tracking. Plus, the ads in MyFitnessPal were super annoying.

So I'm wondering, is there anyone else out there who loves Cronometer for the micros but hates the outdated UI? Any tips for making it more user-friendly or should I just keep holding out for an upgrade?

I tried CalAI for a week and honestly, it was hot trash. The AI couldn't recognize half my meals. It was frustrating trying to track accurately while training. I think I'll stick with Cronometer for now, even with the UI issues.

Honestly, MFP is still a solid choice. I've been using it for years, and even with the ads, I love that my food list is dialed in. Switching apps just seems annoying at this point. But I get the micros struggle.

I hear you on the UI, it really feels outdated. I also appreciate the micronutrient tracking, especially for marathon training. You can't really find that level of detail in other apps. But the clunky layout makes it frustrating to log my food after a long run. I've been thinking about trying something else, but nothing matches Cronometer's depth.

Idk, but I'm lowkey skeptical of all these new AI photo apps. They're cool in theory, but I feel like I'd miss something in the data tracking. I'm all about the macros, so if I'm not getting that detail, what's the point?

I understand your pain with the UI. I work as a nurse, and I often log meals during my shifts. I find that Cronometer's detailed data is super helpful, especially when I'm trying to manage my energy throughout long hours. That said, I wish it was easier to navigate. Sometimes I just need something simpler.

Lowkey had the same issue! I switched to Nutrola because the photo log is a game changer for me. I'm lifting five times a week and being able to just snap a pic instead of typing is so much easier. Plus, no ads is a huge bonus.

The emphasis on data is great, but the navigation really leaves something to be desired. I often advise clients on nutrition, and many express similar frustrations. If you want a more modern app that still provides detailed data, maybe consider checking out MacroFactor. Their algorithm helps a lot with meal planning and keeping on top of goals.

Facts! The UI feels like a chore sometimes. I've switched to using Cronometer just for micros, but it's clunky. im all about that community vibe in CrossFit, and apps like MyFitnessPal have that social element that I miss. It's tough to give that up.

I get that you love the micros, but honestly, it might be worth trying out something new. I've been using Yazio, and while it's not perfect, the UI is so much smoother. I feel like I can actually enjoy tracking my gains without fighting the app.

I switched to Nutrola and honestly, I love the voice logging feature. As a busy nurse, I can log my meals on the go without losing focus. Makes it a lot easier to manage my nutrition when I'm running around.

I completely get the frustration with Cronometer's UI. From a business perspective, it's tough because they've nailed the micronutrient side, but a polished interface could attract more users. Have you looked into MyFitnessPal? I know it has ads, but its community and food database are solid. You might find the trade-off worth it for ease of use.

I hear you on the UI. I'd love to see Cronometer step it up. I also tried MyFitnessPal, but the paywall creep is wild now. It feels like they keep raising prices for basic features. I'd recommend sticking it out with Cronometer a bit longer; they might surprise us with an update.
