I've been using MyNetDiary for tracking my meals, but lately, the barcode scanner has been such a hassle. Half the time, it doesn't recognize my favorite niche brand foods, which is super frustrating since I rely on that feature for accuracy. I tried Lose It! as a backup, but it just didn't vibe with me. Anyone else hitting this wall with MyNetDiary? What are you all doing to manage it?

I totally feel you! When apps don't recognize my food, it's frustrating. But I love using MyNetDiary for its community support. Sharing food stories can make it all feel less overwhelming.

Lol, the barcode scanner can be such a mood killer. I get it! I just snap pics of the meals instead. So much easier than dealing with the scanner drama.

Bro, just teach your kids to help you log meals. Family workouts can make it a fun bonding experience! Plus, they'll love learning about nutrition. Just keep it fun.

Honestly, the scanner part is more for convenience. I mostly just log what I eat without it. Gotta keep it chill. Plus, who doesn't love a good post-workout snack, right?

Honestly, you guys ever tried incorporating your kids into cooking? They'll love the fun of healthy meals and it takes the stress off logging everything to perfection.

Tracking isn't just about the apps. I find that doing Excel sheets works wonders. You can create a detailed log of everything without relying on barcode scanners. Just a thought.

I get where you're coming from, but I think it's worth experimenting with apps. Each has its quirks, but tracking can really help you fine-tune your nutrition. Just don't stress about it.

Tbh, I just don't see the point of relying on apps that make you jump through hoops. A good old-fashioned food diary is way more straightforward. Anyone else feel me on this?

I hear you on the barcode scanner! It's annoying when it doesn't recognize vegan products, especially niche brands. I've had to manually enter stuff more than I'd like to admit. Maybe check out Cronometer, they have a decent database for plant-based foods.

Facts. Barcode scanners are hit or miss. I mostly use MyNetDiary for tracking but find I have to rely on manual entries too. If you're serious about accuracy, maybe try tracking macros with an app like MacroFactor, it gives more detailed info.

i think it's important to focus on how you feel with your food choices. If the app is stressing you out, maybe take a step back. Tracking doesn't have to be perfect, just do what feels good for you

Ngl, tracking food can get obsessive. If the scanner makes it worse, ditch it! Focus on what makes u feel good and ditch the stress. Simple as that.

For what it's worth, I've had decent luck with manual logging. Just keep a notebook or use the notes app on your phone. It's simple and lets you track everything without the scanner drama.

Sounds like a skill issue. If it can't read your favorite brands, just enter them manually! Or maybe try one of those apps that don't rely on a barcode scanner. Stop whining.

Just remember, food is meant to be enjoyed! Don't let tracking take the fun out of it. You can always have a 'free meal' day and just eat what you love.

Facts! MyNetDiary does have its drawbacks, but it also helps keep me accountable. I'd rather have the imperfections than none at all. What about adding some fun to tracking, like a food photo challenge?

You could try checking out Lose It! again but also consider Strava for tracking workouts alongside meals. Community support is solid on there, and you might find it motivating.

I like the idea of sharing food stories! It makes tracking feel less tedious and more like a community. We should all swap favorite meals or snack ideas.

    100. Apps can be frustrating, but remember they're tools. Use them how they work for you! And if you find something that clicks, stick with it

I feel like if the barcode scanner's a hassle, just embrace the chaos and switch up your tracking methods! I sometimes just freestyle it. Heavy metal and free snacks? Can't beat that combo.
