**TL;DR:** Frustrated with MyFitnessPal's increasing paywall and ads.

I've been using MyFitnessPal for years, but lately the paywall jump is driving me crazy. I mean, I understand they need to make money, but suddenly a lot of features I relied on are locked behind premium, and it feels like every time I open the app there's another ad or a prompt to upgrade. I briefly tried Cronometer, but it just didn't click for me. Does anyone else feel like MyFitnessPal is turning into a money grab?

100% facts. MFP used to be my go-to, now it feels like they just want my wallet. I tried some other apps, but I'm broke so I'm just logging it all in a notepad now. Old school, I guess.

As a mom of three trying to balance everything, I totally get the struggle! MFP has been a solid app for tracking, but I felt like it was squeezing me for cash too. Sometimes I just track my meals in a journal instead, way less stress and honestly, I can be more mindful that way. Anyone else tried going old school with a pen and paper?

I've been using MyFitnessPal for years too, and I get the frustration with the paywall. I switched to Cronometer after realizing how much data I could track for free, and honestly, it helped me see my nutrient intake in a whole new way. It takes some getting used to, but it's worth it. Plus, they don't shove ads in your face like MFP.

I hear you! I used MFP to track my runs and nutrition for years. But when they started locking features behind premium, I felt like I had to find something else. Have you looked into Strava for tracking workouts? They have a pretty solid free version.

MFP is definitely leaning into the money grab territory. I've seen people rant about this on other threads. I mean, if you can't access basic features without paying, what's the point? I switched to MacroFactor and haven't looked back. It's more straightforward and I like the automatic updates.
