**TL;DR:** Frustrated with MyFitnessPal's new barcode scanner paywall. What are others using?

Ugh, so I was all set to log my post-run smoothie and boom, MyFitnessPal just locked the barcode scanner behind a paywall! 😩 I get it, they gotta make money, but this is the feature I use the most. I tried Lose It! for a bit and it didn't have half the foods in its database that I need. Anyone else feeling the pain? What are you guys switching to?

I feel you! I was super bummed about the paywall. I switched to Cronometer because it tracks micros too, which is a bonus if you care about nutrition. It might have a bit of a learning curve, but it's worth it for the info.

I totally get that! I've been using MFP for my smoothies and I hate that they paywalled it. 😩 I might try out Cronometer since I hear great things about their database. Anyone else have experience with it?

Skill issue, lol. But seriously, I've switched to using a manual log for tracking my food, and it's actually made me more mindful about what I eat! Writing everything down helps a ton with accountability.

It's a shame that MyFitnessPal is locking features like that. For serious tracking, I recommend checking out MacroFactor. It's more tailored for body composition goals, and the user interface is intuitive. I've been lifting for years, and it's helped me track everything from my 1RM to my macros with precision.

Ngl, I'm all about my plant-based gains and I've been loving Cronometer for tracking my micronutrients. If you care about your vitamins and minerals, this app is legit. Plus, you can easily see where you might be lacking in ur meals.

I totally get your frustration! I was using MyFitnessPal for years and it was my go-to for logging my meals. With four kids, I need something quick and easy. I tried a few other apps but kept going back. Maybe check out Cronometer? It's got a lot of detailed info, and I hear its barcode scanner works pretty well.

Facts. I used MyFitnessPal but switched to MacroFactor last year. Their barcode scanner is solid and the meal suggestions are pretty dope too! It really helps to keep track of my protein intake. Plus, the price is way more reasonable than MFP's new plan.

No cap, the new paywall is trash. I've been logging my workouts and meals with MFP for a while, but I think I might just try something new. What do you think about Lose It!? I've heard mixed reviews.

Ugh, that sucks! I've been using MyFitnessPal for my training fuel too, but I'm looking for alternatives. If you're running a lot, Strava could help you track your workouts alongside your meals. It's not a complete nutrition tracker, but it integrates well with other apps.
